Got this today. Best sound settings are High Dialogue Enhancher on, Bass at exactly 1 full dot -1 and 3d surround sound on. Nice stuff. Can turn bass all the way down if want then can turn up volume way more Edit - These settings are good for everything except Call of Duty game it seems. Bad for Modern Warfare 2 for some reason. Had to go pure for that game.
@@UnboxEverythingDK Thank you for your reply, do they completly switch off, I am mean when it on and playing when connected to TV, it will be great if you could make video on light issues on soundbars, it will be great content because lots of people are looking for the light issue as it is quiet distracting when watching TV. Appreciated!
@@rohinbali9093 oh that's interesting! I will take a deeper look. Generally I keep mine on the floor beneath the TV unit so I don't notice it very much but I will see if there is a way to switch off the lights.
Hello bro, does the denon dht s216 produce crystal sound clarity and Dolby atmos? I confused whether I should go for Harmon kardon onyx studio 7 or denon DHT-S216? Please, I want your opinion and recommendation.

@@GhettoProductionsBulgaria Hello! I'm not a sound expert so I don't know what that means. I like things with bass too and I think it's enough for me. ✌️
I was considering buying this, didn't realise how long it was. I might have ordered it from Amazon without checking the dimensions. Also learnt from the comments section that everywhere is £149, Amazon made it seem like a limited time price. Thanks!
@@UnboxEverythingDK If it sounds as good as it should and Denon are still is good as they used to be, then it's still a really good price. I don't like a TV in my living room, was interested in this for when I bring a PC monitor through to game. I guess I'll just have to slum it with the Bose Companion 3 I use with my projector ;)
Great review and thanks for sharing. I am an older user so just need something to upgrade my smart TV sound more than listening to music. I've had a really old Panasonic sound base (SC-HTE80 )so hoping this will be an upgrade on that but in any case it is much smarter looking. Just ordered one for delivery tomorrow.
Watch out with this S216. Be worn that it has problems when changing the source from app to tv. You will need to use denon remote everytime to change the source in the soundbar. So even with ARC You will need 2 remotes. Denon service is not heping, not even answering to the question. Be worn. As far as i red mostly problem is with using Samsung smart tv's.
If you are giving a review have you considered doing a little bit of pre-research into what the buttons etc all do, rather than have a series of ‘I think this does this, and I think that does that, and you can probably do X, but I’m not sure’. That’s not really any use. MUCH more helpful to unbox and show what comes included, then unpack and be able to say with confidence - ‘this button does this, and that button does that’. Would give a much more professional impression. Also a shame you didn’t do a test on your TV plus how easy it was to set up as most people will be buying a Soundbar for their TV. But it was a useful insight into what is there.
Hey mate, thank you for the constructive feedback. I get a bit too excited with these things to be honest. It wasn't really a review but more so an unboxing experience and first time impression shown through a consumer lens. There was also (at time of purchase) very little or none at all video coverage of this particular soundbar anywhere, so thought it would have been helpful for people to give them an idea of what it is, how it looks and partially how it sounds. Saying that, I will try to do better next time and have taken all your feedback on board. 🙂✌️
@@UnboxEverythingDK no worries, didn't mean to come across as a d! just that people might think "ooh headphones" and buy one (or plug a bluetooth transmitter into it) and find they get nothing.
Wattage is only one part of the equation. With speakers, there's also Ohms and Sensitivity (as well as speaker cabinet design, size and porting) with amplifiers there's are different classes of power transformer. But really, at the end of the day, it's about how it sounds and connivence to live with. Maybe go to a shop and give it a listen?

No sub unfortunately but yeah this thing packs a punch! You can adjust bass levels on the remote which is handy. Price sounds about right! *Edit: to be clear, the sub is actually the downwards firing speakers. But if you're referring to an external sub then no.

How is the bass felling?
Strong! But I suppose everyone has different tolerances so it's hard to define what is strong/weak etc... for me though it's enough 🙂

VERY light on the actual review of the sound quality. Not sure if this was intended.
Btter than bose 600?
I have a question regarding the bass! Is it sufficient enough for movies? I know you wont get a shaking floor but are explosions good enoug?
Yeah the bass is strong enough for me! I never keep it on the highest settings either.

Do u have an updated test with movies and games? Planning to buy one for a fairly small living room (~9 sqm).
I don’t have one but I use it all the time for gaming and it packs a punch. I also have quite a large living room but it fills it without struggle.
Makes a lot of difference!
It really does!
Can this be connected to TV via Optical? My TV doesn't have an HDMI (ARC)
Yes! It comes supplied with a cable too.
Everywhere is doing it for £149.99 so whilst it’s a bargain there was no mistake in the store.

Aux In is 100% NOT for headphones. Keyword "in", not "out".
Plugging headphones in that port will do absolutely nothing.
