Yes sir you got a lot done! Love all the fine detail you explained on the chrome sprue. All the tips! Geez thanks! Thought you were gonna go white on the car. Copper looks good too. Wheels and tires look awesome. Thanks so much for the great video Mark.
Hi Mark, the car is coming together very nicely, the colour (english spelling) looks great, as does the motor/engine, the benvh seat is also looking great, best regards from Australia, Les
Looking great Mark. I love what you did with the engine. I have this kit and I’m going to try that Bare Metal Foil trick. Thank you for that. Also interested in seeing how that gloss covers that flat paint. I ordered some of that gloss. I found it online for $12.50. Keep up the great work 👍
Hey Mark, it sounds like it's all coming along nice & smooth. That 'Copper' looks a pretty cool colour there, I was really expecting White. Nice work with the tyres, hubcaps, and the emblem! Now get back to work, you've got a car to build!! Lol. You take care buddy, catch ya next time. 👍🏼
What?! No invite to the cookout? 🍔🌭 Eventually I'll get 'round to my Revell 1970 Torino GT. That's going to be Vallejo Metal Color copper. The 1:1 scale car I used to own (still miss that car) was copper, so the model has to be. I'll brush paint enamels, but for airbrushing it's strictly acrylics. I'm looking forward to seeing how yours comes out! 1966 was 1 year before I started kindergarten.
I didn't get an invite either. LOL I only use acrylics anymore. I think once I give this a light sanding I'll be able to get a good gloss on it. I always liked the 70 Torinos. Great cars.
Awesome video Mark and one great start to this build. Man have been missing in action! Still behind in watching videos and I know I've missed some of yours. Anyway, looking good!!!
@@grandpamarkshobbies Well, I was in Hawaii from April 30 until June 7. Getting our home there ready to sell. Then it was just trying to catch up on everything once I got back to South Dakota. Been working my way back in, to include my RUclips channel and building models again.
Good to see the crew enjoying some bbq burgers and dogs off the grill! Its awesome and helpful how you share with us your work flow which turns into tips and tricks for us all. Tamiya copper very flakey, how do you get it to not clog up the air brush and still look good on the car? Kind regards,
Thank you. That copper is flakey as heck. I ended up dry sanding it with 5000 grit paper very lightly until it was smooth to the touch. Not sure if it will ever take a gloss but it does look cool. LOL
Hi mark ur off to another great start. I tried looking for that hydro mist. Maybe not hanging my tongue right. Can u point me in the right direction. Thanks
@@grandpamarkshobbies That would be AWESOME!! I got it for my birthday but I've never built a semi truck. Could you show how to build the frame and rear suspension? I was looking at the instructions and I'm a little lost. lol
It is going to be a while before I can get it, then it will be winter before I can start. Can you PM me from facebook and let me know what you are having problems with. Maybe I can talk you through it.
It wasn't cured, but not wet either. I've read that if it cures you can use a VERY LITTLE thinner on a tight q-tip to remove it. You just need to be sure you don't let it get too soft first.
Nice update. Good tips on painting the white walls, and the transmission. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much.

Thank you very much. And thanks for the plug. I need to do that more often. I keep forgetting.

It's looking great Mark. I think the gloss will turn out fine.
Thank you very much.
Looking good Mark keep up the great work!

Nice job! Like the circle cam in the corner 😀
Thank you very much. I'm still getting set up with the cameras. Soon I'll be able to go live!!

Looking nice! I love this kit, would love to do another one one day. Can't wait to see yours!!!
Thank you. I have already fallen in love with this kit. I will get another one.
Great looking kit Boss…you’re really on top of this one !
Thank you.
Looking sharp!
Thank you.
Your minute detail work is amazing. I'll be watching to see how that gloss works on the flat copper.
Thank you very much. I have the first coat of gloss on and it is starting to give a little shine. Hopeful.

Thank you very much. I pulled the white out twice and just didn't get into it. LOL
Lot's of good stuff going on there 👍
Thank you very much. It is a great kit.
Looking Good, I have that kit I'm looking forward to starting it.

I like redline tires.... I wonder how flat red would flow around that line???.... Love that copper color on the body....😎👍
I think with the red I'd go with the Tamiya X-7. The flat sometimes shows really dark on black.
Nice color on the body! 😎👍
Thank you.

Thanks for watching. I noticed you haven't been around. Hope all is well.

Looking good! Any chance you could build the MACK R685ST Semi truck? Thanks Mark
I have it in my list. I want to use that for the car hauler.

The foil, You said you rubbed the paint off of it. When it was wet, or cured?
