Awesome, as always. Three things: 1. Any tutorial you put out is inspirational, at the very least, because your enthusiasm is genuine, which is the difference between you, and a lot of other RUclipsrs. 2. I had a question -- but you answered it. :) 3. In watching how you developed this scene, I "Okuda'd" (my term) that cockpit into the first Dollar Store ship you built for the first flyby tutorial, and got a working vessel out of it.....Well done......
Dude, I've been working in special fx and video production for years and I guess I've gotten kind of jaded, but your channel has kicked my jaded butt and made me dig up all those ideas I had that I had given up on! Doing things practically is the way to go! And I am again excited about the prospect of indy sci fi filmmaking.
Hi, great video, thank you. Can you tell me where you got your BG image and the content for the screens? I'm looking for good HUD plates I can layer on top of a scene and spaceship interior stock footage and not doing well! Thank you.
Hi Anthony , I saw your Aeranger short and loved it! in fact you have inspired me to take my first steps towards my dream of making sci fi movies, I signed up for an on line video editing coarse as a starting point , I have no idea what i'm doing but I guess you have to start somewhere, and the info you provide is very helpful so thank you! P.S was glad to see that Dust picked up Aeranger, well done.
Green screen?! Well now I feel like a dork, here I’m asking you how to build a practical, physical set and you weren’t even on a physical set. So, I’m probably going to be the only one asking for this, I’m always odd man out lol, but any tips for building cheap physical sets? You know, for the tech (and tool) challenged like me.
haha I do at some point plan on making wall panels someday! It will be out of insulation panels so just cutting shapes and painting ! you can do that! And never feel like a dork JK, unless proudly!
Hey Anthony, great channel! I just stumbled upon it recently. I have been doing vfx for movies and tv for about 20 years, but am just starting out on the practical side. I was wondering if you know of any websites where you can hire independent contractors for practical fx jobs? I know all the ones for CG, since that is what I do, but I figured you are the one to ask about it. Thanks!
I don't but I have a sci-fi horror project cooking up so when that happens I too will be looking for practical artists when I do I'll share info. Excited myself to create practicle effects to enhance with VFX
