Just discovered your page. Great job. Food trucks are all over the place pricing wise and you never know about the reliability of them. That’s why I was excited to see this DIY. Thanks for creating it.

I have used those blue scotch locks a lot in my career. Make sure they are tight. I use pliers to close them if I ever use them. They will give you issues!

Hey Frank, what are your thoughts on buying a trailer at a great price that needs to have the plywood replaced?

That's not a bad deal. That way you can insulate behind it
I was thinking the same thing. Run wires, insulate etc…
Looking at a 8x20x8Hft flat front with a drop down door for about $4800-$5000 that will need the wood replaced.
What should I be watching for when purchasing a trailer
I look for the door clearance on the side. Has to fit far enough back where you can fit the sinks up front and I don't like the V nose personally
in your truck that was interior height of 6 ft 6 did you have a vent hood ?
Yes. Mine on my truck is 6 foot

That part should be pretty straight forward the hardest part is the ceiling. Make sure to buy a lot of metal cut off wheels. 👍
How much cheaper do you estimate this costing you vs buying a used or new truck?
The only difference would be the labor cost and that will vary from builder to builder because the material is pretty straight forward. I would estimate the labor for all would be like 10k IMO hopefully that helps

On my first trailer 6 foot 6 the second trailer 7 foot
How thick is your plywood?
3/8 factory installed plywood
How much is this trailer cost you?
Without cooking equipment it costs about 30k counting Labor and building materials
Where do you buy the wall panels
Bought these a while back from a local metal place just called around and asked for price and found a good deal

Insulation on the walls no, only on ceiling. Did install some insulation by window
