Hi Melissa, hello from a Shanghainees who had lived and worked in Houston and Raleigh for 4 years long time ago! Your channel is a hidden jem! I find it so heart warming and soothing, and they are all in unparrelleled quality! Born and raised in Shanghai, I had no idea there are so many great places to go! I am gonna follow your footprints with my wife and daughter from now on to explaore Shanghai that I thought I had knew so well. I want to thank you and wish you and your family all the best!
Unadorned baguettes are lovely if they are still warm and crunchy; if not, butter them or use a vegan alternative. Lovely video once again, thank you for posting.
I really liked the bakeries in Shanghai, but I never know if they are authentic or not cuz I can't really tell the difference. Even I visited France, I can't tell the differences of the baguette or croissant of different bakeries, or them compared to those in SH
We basically base it off of flavor and texture. If it’s above 3 stars it’s more authentic in our opinion. But we aren’t professionals. Lol. Just our opinion.
I would say that those baguettes are a little bit expressive than those in the France, you might wanna ask them how long the fermentation was next time, usually many bakeries in the France that have their dough fermented for 2days rather than overnight fermentation.
You should do a series of European and American food in shanghai 😂😂😂 Some how this reminds me of that Italian guy trying croissants in paris during riots 😂😂😂
OMG!!!! Your comment MADE my day. I freaking LOVE that video Luis did. It’s amazing! And I was really trying to capture something similar. So thank you. Really. ❤️😁
Shanghai is so developed, there are no homeless people, the streets are very clean, and there are many varieties of food. Far beyond my imagination. Have Fun...*** 5 Stars
Sounds awkward. You don't know why there are no homeless, even developed countries have homeless people, why in a developing country doesn't have? Think about it. 😅
@@realchenlucky Because "developed" is just a definition defined by "developed" countries. They don't count homelessness, safety etc, or they count them with a bias.

I’ll have to look into that for part two!
@@melissa_renee 👍
3:00 So these two were full and went home earlier. 🤣
hahaha...yeah. Berkli was getting over being sick and she had reached her limit of heat and bread. =)
Beautiful family and life.Would you like to try KFC's breakfast? That's Chinese style food 😀

I actually don't know that one. In the next video we have Paris Patisserie on our list is that the one you mean?
@@melissa_renee la boulangerie, the one outside of capella hotel on jianguoxi road. best baugette in shanghai on my list.

Any plans to visit SH Disneyland? Should vlog it!!
Maybe? Not this summer. too hot. =)
wonder if the breads are factory or local baked overnight. and shelf time of the breads will have an impact on the taste and texture..
I think the places we reviewed all bake in house. but i'm not 100% on that.
Nice to see BTS V on a billboard

Yeah, they aren't all "authentic" but we take what we can get. =) The 4 star one was definitely fermented longest.
视频风格很好
Thank you!
tapping into food critics industry I see
Hahaha!
I love you
😂
Why thank you!❤

You let your other two kids go on their own . Doesn’t you feel afraid 😱 to them go alone?
No Shanghai and China are very safe.
No, we feel very safe here. It's a really nice perk of living here.
女婿们在哪里???😂😂😂
老丈人好
The traditional baguettes in Paris wasn’t that good.
The ones in KL , Malaysia that are freshly baked are better.
I’ll have to go find out.
更新的太慢啦😡😡等得花儿都谢了!
I can't stand it, why should I watch your video at night. Those breads under the camera are evil
hahaha...oops...sorry!
