- Finally diving into Skyrim for the first time, and wow-this game is something else. In this episode, I run into a frost troll that clearly doesn’t want me to exist and some cultists who apparently have a personal vendetta against me (what did I do?!).
Expect a lot of panic, poor combat decisions, and me questioning all my life choices.

You can go to Settings>Display and enable dialogue subtitles!
PS: Leveling up refills your health and magicka bars so it's a good idea to do it in the middle of combat.
Skyrim is such a masterpiece. You can do pretty much anything you want. Follow the main story or not. Side quest or not. It's just chock full of endless fun and shit to do. Super stoked to see someone new discovering this gem.

Yeah the ability to do what you want in whatever order you want is one reason for Skyrim's long lasting popularity. One example: I avoid fast travel and let myself get distracted by whatever I run across on the way but the game gives freedom to fast travel or not, whichever the player wants.
I am currently doing a play through with not being the Dragonborn.
It is easy.
Simply do not retrieve the tablet for the court wizard in Whiterun.
You can retrieve the Golden Claw but do not pick up the dragon tablet.
10:03 You have enough experience to level up but haven't done it yet. Not leveling up is probably why you're getting one hit so much... that plus trolls and cultists are tough opponents!
When you bring up the menu at the linked time stamp, press up to get to the level up menu. At each level, you increase either magic, health, or stamina by 10 points. You'll also be able to pick a skill perk to increase abilities or get new abilities.
I suggest picking health at least some of the time so your character can take more damage. Stamina vs magic depends on whether you fight or use spells. From what I've seen you're mostly fighting so stamina will help that.
For which skill perk, that again depends on your play style and what you want the character to be good at. You don't have to pick the perk right away when you level up. Some perks require reaching a certain skill level so sometimes I save picking a perk until the perk I want is unlocked.
Pro tip: when leveling up all health is restored so sometimes I'll save the level up until I'm in a tough fight. Saves on health potions. But in your case I'd be sure to level up as many times as you can for now so you can increase your stats and skill perks.

Not all cities have coaches/taxis. You need to look for the horse shoe symbol outside the city. Trolls can regen health which is why they are hard to kill. Guards will attack you only if you accidentally hit them or a local with an arrow or swinging a weapon. ❤

@Giigiiamore And try not to hit anyone but your enemy. Like ryu said that's why you were attacked by the guards.
