According to this episode, gowri's father says Rajamani is locha's son and his son is sunderasan a slight variation is there in the generation family tree. However, we also need to recognize and accept that change is the only constant in life. When we yearn for the "good old days", our minds recall only the pleasant memories, not the difficulties - not the salt/hard water in the well in the backyard and requiring women in the family (only the women) walk daily to the local temple tank or the river for water for cooking and drinking (speaking from experience) or the high incidence of filariasis (very common in Kumbhakonam) . How many women with advanced arthritis can continue to wear the madisar sari? In the US, people have annual family reunions sometimes upward of 150 people gather during the summer and renew/refresh their relationships. Usually around the same time such as the second weekend in July or whatever so families can plan ahead. Staying touch has become easier now. Giving up traditional knowledge and practices is detrimental to a society. Technology has split families. However, technology can and does bring families together and sustain the sampradayam.

In one of the earlier episodes sharada said that her husband Sundaresan was working under his Periappa Jayaraman. Jayaraman’s son is Mahadevan (now we understand it must be Surya’s father) and it is doubted that he was killed by Sundaresan. But in the family tree it is shown differently. Please clarify.

Jayaraman’s son is Mahadevan (now we understand it must be Surya’s father) and it is doubted that he was killed by Sundaresan. But in the family tree it is shown differently. Please clarify.
