It's interesting, except for the sand bits it doesn't look very technical, there's actually a lot of flat straight, so the fittest guy wins. Have done more technical local races in UK where it's all about tekkers!

Was this your Race pace or slower?
Much slower.
I would say not much slower. In the race a lap took just over 6 minutes, this just over 7. The uphill was much slower than in the race. Then they (tried to) run, here they walked.
@@kalleelonheimo855 Yep. I would say that some of the flat pieces were slower as well. Some parts were full gas though, I Think
This was a fast practice lap to link all of the sections together. Yes, we definitely didn't go 100% while running and there where some other parts were we cruised.

That's the appeal of cyclocross. Its meant to be difficult.
Very late answer: no.
MTB = bigger tyres + heavier + suspended= slower, except on very fast bumpy or sinuous descent. On mainly flat or grippy uphill terrain it will be totally outperformed.

Nice course, almost. The length is great. Nice variety. The highly rutted downhills are rather challenging. But that hike-a-bike section in the deep sand kinda ruined it though. Too long and uphill to enjoy. I like mud and sand but elevation changes but sand like that ruins the fun for me.
