In Malaysia, everybody cook and eat each other's food, in their own versions! Hahaha! Malays cooking, eating and selling Chinese foods but with Malay touch (pau, char kuey tiaw, chicken rice, hailam rice, hainan rice, yong tau fu, tau fu fah etc). Chinese cooking, eating and selling Malays foods but with Chinese touch (nasi lemak, laksa, asam pedas, sambal belacan, sambal petai, etc). Malays cooking, eating and selling Indian foods but with Malay touch (marukku, vadey/masalodey, roti canai, nasi briyani, tosei, putu mayam, putu piring, pappadom, mee goreng mamak, mee rebus etc)..probably only Indians (especially Tamils) that do not eat/cook/sell other peoples' (Malay, Chinese) foods! But Indian Muslim restaurants now serving Malay-style dishes including ikan keli!

i just fainting watching you guy eat chow kuek teaw sooooooo delicious..actually i am chef myself teaching students in university. i have to admit. to master cooking chow kway teow it take time and training. even we use same ingredient the result will be different . only the best hand can make chow kuew teow perfectly. malay food is not all about ingredient, the skill of the chef also will determine the taste. look like simple but it is not. good video like always cheers.

Char kuey tiaw ... The ubiquitous noodles in Malaysia ... So ubiquitous that some are not really good and prepare/sell by people without passion for it ... But this one looks good and tasted good according to both of you ... Looks sumptuous to me too ... Simple and quick to be prepared but with lots of flavours on a plate if you add the eggs and pickled chillies ... 1) The rice flavour of the noodle ... 2) The soy sauce flavour ... 3) The chilli sambal flavour ... 4) The seafoody cockles flavour ... 5) The crunchiness of the bean sprouts ... 6) The crunchiness of the sweet sour hot chilli pickles ... 7) The eggs flavour ... All on a single plate, in mouthfuls of these flavours ... Nothing more needed to say about this heavenly simple food called CHAR KUEY TIAE 😀

Wow..wow..wow..looks delicious the malay version of kuey teow. Good job sheena...bt i guess u need to practice more..lol..btw, don mind me comment some here..the wok need to be clean after a few fry of plate as the high heat will eventually make the wok coating came off. Tat is why when sheena put oil and kuey teow tat moment...can see obviously the kuey teow colour turn black when u stir it (this is b4 the kicap is down)....too much of the coating is not healthy yo...anyway...good job sheena....

Thomas ... I lost one of it (In your head: I need more of it, the pickled chillies) ...Sheena ... Both of you need the sunny side up (eggs) in the cold winter of Korea ... Even if this video is simple in having only one food which is CKT ... But it is really fullsome for us ... Making us drooling for plates of it ... Btw Sheena looks like the lady boss, loitering around in the background ... 😀😇
