- Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has finally released on Digital, which means that they revealed a LOT of deleted scenes that didn't make their way into Sonic the Hedgehog 3, including one that EXPLAINS THE ENDING OF SONIC MOVIE 2.. AFTER ALL THIS TIME, IT'S EXPLAINED.. we also get to see some more of Robotnik's streamer arc which is very interesting to see!! overall, these clips are incredibly cool and i am so happy we got to see 'em, like and sub pls, thank u :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I really wish they kept the first scene. One of my main complaints of sonic 3 is they never follow up on agent stones infiltration in the film and how robotnik survived sonic 2.
Also these now give context to why robotnik says "This is Doctor Ivo Robotnik, dedicating my final live stream to one special henchmen." The others I don't care about them cutting, but robotnik saying rizz and fortnite is extremely funny

i kinda wish the robotnik fortnite and rizz scenes stayed in the film, i did wish that they explained how he lived in the film so seeing this scene cut is kinda upsetting, it would not have been that hard to re-record a couple scenes for it to make sense and would've been really nice to see, still upset they got rid of it 😭

@@MasonParkinson me neither maybe it was due to time restrictions for the movie and the fact that the Mexico plot location was still in place before they changed Eggmans location but regardless it should’ve been kept in 😫😭
He dedicated his “final live stream” to agent stone. Clearly that scene wasnt reshot after the plotline was dropped. Could be interesting to see this come back in a future film
thats what i dont get too? they cut out scenes like a 20 second scene explaining the ending of sonic 2 which would've been VERY useful most likely due to Stone mentioning the Mexico plotline, but they keep in the scene where Eggman mentions his "final live stream" despite it being his first and only one of the film? confusing, but i am also excited to see how this comes back in future films

I think the reason a lot of it was cut was because it would take away from shadows backstory and fans were already complaining about the tone of the movie before the movie came out

I believe the G.U.N. soldier was referring to the Chao, not Team Sonic themselves. As many others have said, the scene where Stone talks about how Eggman "broke every bone in his body" should've been kept. Would've given much needed context.
Why didn’t they show the eggman getting healed scene!? Like that fall was huge and my cousins were so confused how the character survived 😭

The scene where Agent Stone saves Eggman shows how much heart and soul could've had if it was written properly
i really loved that, im so glad to see eggman and stone being close, i love their friendship so much (we just pretend eggman is a really kind friend back to stone)
Im actually so glad the whole streamer arc for Robotnik got scrapped. It wouldve completely stopped the movie constantly for pretty much no reason and wouldve just been a drag. Especially on the ark I would have hated it so much because it wouldve been in the middle of such an important scene. The first clip would have been great to see though
Oh also you can see the cable that was on Jim Carey’s back when they were on set in the very first cut scene in the first part of the video when stone is carrying him on his shoulders
Since these ARE deleted scenes, they didn't have time to fix the color of Tail's fur (12:30) OR perfect Knuckle's voice. (13:43)
i guessed it was that but thank u for clarifying lol, just weird they were able to get knuckles and sonic's colours down but tails was just too much, and i love knuckles' unfinished voice 😭

a MILLION percent, i truly dont know why the first one was cut, people say time constraints but it was literally like 20 seconds it would've been fine to keep in 😭
The deleted VR bits are pretty funny, but Gerald being so outwardly mean to Ivo here doesn't make much sense since he's supposed to be playing along for the sake of the plan.
I think the first deleted scene needed to stay, the 2nd and 3rd I'm not keen on, I'm actually glad they aren't in the movie, but Eggman's streaming arc WAS kept because he says "my final livestream" when speaking to Stone from aboard the Eclipse Cannon, the 4th was funny when Gerald responds to the hater, the 5th wasn't important, 6th was cut for good reason I believe! 7 explains why they run away wearing chao heads... 8th was just odd and wasn't necessary so I see why it's cut...
One more thing I noticed is that in the 2nd part of the video with the 2nd deleted scene with the bed time jump scare, there was a photo of that exact scene posted on the imdb of Sonic 3 before the movie came out I’m pretty sure if you look close
oh yeah! that was one of the scenes that got leaked and images of it were posted everywhere, idk if that's why they cut those scenes but interesting to finally see what they were

To be honest, I think I liked it better left a mystery how Robotnik survived, as the games never really explained how he survived his numerous defeats, and left those vague too.
He survived his Egg Mobile crashing, (Sonic 1) he survived the Death Egg exploding and falling from space twice. (Sonic 2&3) He survived falling into a volcano, (Spinball) and his mech exploding over a magma river, (Sonic Rush Adventure) he got beat up by Team Chaotix, (Heroes) he's survived many things.
He's like the Joker, he could be fed to sharks, or something, and he always finds a way to come back regardless
Plus it's a little dark to imply Sonic almost killed him, and broke all his bones, or something.

What if Shadow was escaping from the Black Arms and he used the meteor as his escape pod. When he crashed on Earth, it gave him amnesia and so he couldn’t remember what had conversed earlier.

For the first one I love it I wanted them to keep it in so bad cause it would’ve explained a lot about how he got back and survived but lmaoooo all the casts poor Jim Carrey 🙏😭

Probably to keep it under 2 hours? That's a common reason. Over 2 hours = less screenings per day = less money

12:29 Tails is grey since this is an unrendered version of this scene. You’ll see a lot more stuff like this in some other unrendered animations but in the software the textures aren’t there until the animation is complete.
It’s still weird how Tails is the only one grey though.
that's what i thought too? i knew it was some sort of unfinished version but Knuckles was red and Sonic was blue, maybe they just didn't care abt tails that much 😭
@ Knuckles chao mascot head is grey too. So it must of just been a sort of thing with the importing cause that happens sometime in Maya apparently. Maya is what the animated the movie in.

Hey, @MasonParkinson, do you remember that a comic book adaptation of the series, Sonic Prime is set to release on May 13, 2025, by IDW Publishing?
My theory as to why it's not there is because, first of all. I know people would rip into it as cringe, and it could also seriously date the movie in a year or two. I'm glad we got the scenes, but I'm ultimately glad the streaming stuff got cut. The how he lived part though, I want that back. My theory is that it was too dark. Im adding it to my headcannon though.

The robotnik stuff should have stayed, I also think the chao garden scene should have stayed as well. Or at least another scene with them wearing them more instead because it never explains in the final why they even bothered putting those things on. Its not a big deal but I would have liked to see more with that y'know. Especially since they made merchandise off the like 5 second scene in the final movie
