I can't get rid of the belief that the consciousness is produced by the brain.
If the brain is destroyed, there is no experience of consciousness... I don't remember I was conscious before I was born.
I hope someone can help me...

Consciousness is not produced by the brain but is transformed by the brain. Consciousness expression, therefore is affected when the brain is damaged, just as a faulty radio cannot receive transmissions properly, it cannot broadcast properly. The brain is the organ if mind just as the lungs are the organ of breath. Lungs are not air, but they interface with the air. The brain is not the mind, but it interfaces with the mind.
