When more singers appear, more similar voices appear. But Kiske's voice is anything but generic. His voice is instantly recognizable even among a choir of 20 other voices

After Dickinson left Iron Maiden I wished that Kiske joined Maiden. No offense I still think that Blaze is a good singer and The X Factor is a great album but I simply love Kiske (I grew up with Helloween among many other great 80's bands)

Kiske is top tier singer, but no voice can fit Iron Maiden better than Bruce's .
I don't know if Kiske can sing a bit higher, but i like Bruce voice more, he sounds like singing from his chest most of the time even with the higher notes, has a a special voice with depth and color Bruce is a very unique singer

I'm a fan of them both. But I must say this, after seeing Kiske live, I can say that Bruce is way powerful than Kiske. Technically Kiske can be nearly perfect but Bruce has the raw power of an ideal metal vocalist too.

Mickael Kiske on Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II was one of the best Metal Vocal performaces of all time.. However Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson are the greatest ever.
I have always liked the songs sung by Michael Kiske..I can't explain why his voice can always touch my heart.. But I just like Bruce Dickinson in a few songs such as Tears of The Dragon..
Bruce is a lot better, and I'm not saying it just because I don´t like Helloween's music,, but because of his strength, and everything that Bruce does with his voice, is much better than Kiske.

Well here is my two cents worth. Bruce is arguably the greatest frontman in the history of Metal; along with a solid voice he brings a stage presence and charisma that only a selected few possess. This being said, there is also a clear difference between the studio version of Bruce’s vocals and the live version and there is also a difference between the Bruce of 30 years ago and the Bruce of today. Micheal Kiske is a phenomenon in the sense that his voice is consistently strong in power and range regardless of it’s in the studio or live and his voice has also remained consistent over 30 years. So vocally Kiske would be the winner but of course there is more to performing than just having a phenomenal voice.

Generally speaking regarding their studio work, i think MK voice when screaming is slightly higher and thinner but BD`s deeper and more powerful plus he makes better vibratos. Bruces interpretetion though is unbeatable. Love both but Bruce´s always been my favorite.

I think kiske is better live nowdays, since he sound more similar to what he used to than dickinson wich sound strained and kiske also have a better register. But overall i think Bruce is a better singer. Btw kiske in maiden insted of Blaze would have been interesting =)

I'm a Bruce Dickinson fan 110% and he's my man.
However the mixing of the songs cut short some of the best notes of Michal Kiske.
Reminds me of when I started to play bass and Iron Maiden where GODs, so Steve Harris was god....
Later on I realized, that Geddy Lee is in fact better than my child hero.

È simpatico il gioco di voler paragonare due mostri sacri del metal ma credo che questo non dia il giusto valore ai contendenti... Entrambi hanno un controllo della voce incredibile e poi c'è la loro naturale conformazione dell'apparato vocale che per quanto mi riguarda in Dickinson permette di prendere note bassissime e note alte (infatti è un baritono) mentre in Kiske permette di arrivare a note altissime senza però avere un grande registro di note basse che a mio avviso non gli consentono di avere una voce piena o corposa. Comunque sono entrambi dei grandi cantanti

Bruce seems to have a more powerful voice and he put more emotions to it while kiske is very controlled and his high notes sounds better but lets not forget that kiske barely run onstage like bruce. But still, both are crazy good vocalist

Michael Kiske has a better high range but Bruce Dickinson has better diction and is more powerful in his mid range. Kiske is in the same camp as Rob Halford and Geoff Tate in that they are all baritones naturally, whereas Bruce is clearly a tenor. I prefer Bruce personally because his voice sounds more chesty and is easier to understand. But kiske certainly has a very technically skilled voice and I enjoy it as well.

curioso mucho fan de bruce emite su opinion..en fin..kiske admiro de muy joven a bruce..de hecho es su principal influencia...como cantante kiske es muy superior a bruce..en otros terrenos hay muchas diferencias..bruce tiene mas peso por el contexto historico de iron maiden..por lo que representa...y kiske dentro de la linea vocal es de los mas respetados incluido por el mismo bruce...alguna vez pudo ser sustituto de dickinson en maiden..pero es Aleman y la rivalidad cultural entre britanicos y alemanes es muy profunda..comercialmente los ingleses son magistrales pero en calidad musical los alemanes son muy superiores a los ingleses...

Audio Bruce 2001, kiske 2012.los 2 son leyendas andantes.
La verdad los dos son excelentes vocalistas, sus registros son impresionantes, pero a pesar de eso, son voces muy diferentes, la vos de Bruce es mucho mas adecuada para el heavy Metal, para el clasico sonido Maiden, es mas agresiva, mas aspera, mas dura, estridente, Kiske es excelente vos, pero suena mas a vocesita de cantante de conservatorio, en pocas palabras a niño consentido, bueno en pocas palabras y en resumen a Power, lo que trasmiten ambas voces es muy diferente, lo que trasmite Maiden necesita de Bruce, lo que trasmite el verdadero heavy necesita de Bruce, bueno tan sencillo es ver quien es Bruce hoy por hoy y a través de la historia y ver quien es Iron Maiden en la historia, no se trata de comparar a estos dos grandes exponentes, si no de ver que trasmite cada vos, su ubicacion y aporte en la historia de rock, ahi de seguro las podremos sacar una conclusión lógica, no de gustos, lógica!!

Trata-se de dois tenores. Sem embargo, KisKe canta mais agudo. Bruce como compensação tem um timbre mais encorpado.

acho que vc errou aí um pouco. Pois o kiske é um dos poucos que matem a cor do timbre e a identidade vocal ainda que em notas altíssimas quando está utilizando voz de cabeça e belting.

Se o viceral que você se refere é em relação a voz. Saiba que Kiske não o é por pura opção. Ele dá preferência pra um tipo de canto mais aveludado e menos gritado.
Já quando você se refere a Kiske ser mais agudo. Acredito que Bruce não o seja pelo fato de não conseguir ir além. NORMAL.
Bruce é fantástico e a seu modo, é o melhor. Mas a realidade é essa. Bruce explora e muito bem suas regiões vocais mais altas.

Always good to look at bruce's career annihilating kiskes 100 times over. Bruce singing is much more than high notes. Guarantee kiske would kiss bruces feet before insulting him so you better understand who invented the game and who is simply a player.
Kiske hsa better vocal range than bruce. Dickinson's voice fits better in the music of iron maiden but hear alexander the great from bruce and kiske and you wil see what i mean. To be fair kiske's voice is better in terms of power metal and bruce's voice is beeter ind terms of heavy metal.
Kiske has never done Alexander the Great, if you're referring to that video that runs on youtube for years you're wrong, it's not Kiske

Ariel Hernan Paiz Kiske es The MAN, Estamos comparando 2 titanes, pero Kiske no se que hace para mantener la voz asi de intacta, parece muchacho de 25 años. Tengo 25 años de escucharlos a los 2 en solitario con Maiden, Helloween, Unisonic, Place Vendome y Michael entre mas viejo esta mejor canta. Bruce se le nota mas el desgaste. A mi gusto el color de voz de Kiske es mas agradable a mi oido
Mauri Friedman Una opinión totalmente válida, faltaría más. Como bien dices son 2 titanes y es muy dificil realizar una comparación. Pero si tuviese que hacer una comparación sobre quién es más completo diría que Dickinson tiene más matices mientras que la voz de Kiske es de una única dirección. Obviamente se trata de una opinión personal, pero es curioso escuchar en un mismo disco canciónes como 'no way out... continued' y 'road to hell' y saber que estamos hablando del mismo vocalista. Bruce lost his range and much of his power... I was a big fan of him and I like the man but... Kiske is still like when he recorded the keeper of the seven key at 19 years old. His voice never failed him. Soooo Kiske won. The only Dickinson that would be a decent match up for Kiske was the young Bruce on the number of the beast to seven son of a seven son... after that... he's no match

But, his voice did not age well at all. Today he sounds nothing like he did 25 years ago. he aged.
Kiske's on the other hand, is a great singer, but it is no Bruce Dickson, but today his voice sounds just like ti did back when Keeper's came out.

No lo creo men ambos estan al nivel, solo que ambos tuvieron diferente tecnica, y aparte ambos tienen esa voz operistica mas suave, y por dato final, sabias que kiske fue considerado como candidato para suplantar a bruce, cuando este se salio de maiden ;)

Tastes differ but Bruce is not more technical and uses more falsetto compared to Kiske. Examples of Bruce's falsetto: 2:58 & 4:50 (unless you are mistaking head voice with falsetto)
Só pode ser piada. Kiske alcança agudos sem perder nenhuma qualidade no peso do timbre. A identidade vocal dele continua a mesma na voz de cabeça.
Detalhe, kiske tem uma voz mais grave e claramente uma maior extensão.
