I love both of them....but to be honest, Kiske is a MONSTER of a singer....my no. ONE
kiske hits the same notes he did when he was 16 and he doesnt stress at all ,bruce loses it at high notes. Kiske is a force of nature.
Yeah,Bruce kept only his colour of voice...Bon Jovi isn't even that...now he sound as trully old man when he is singing,and Kiske voice is almost a original as when he was young...

Amo sus voces pero reconozco que Kiske siempre fue mi debilidad, primero.. era un crío con una voz que asombró al mundo y sí, tal vez ha estado 15 años sin dar giras interminables, pero como conserva esa voz prácticamente intacta,? ES UN PRODIGIO. Y Bruce es un tiro sobre el escenario, cada uno tiene lo suyo, pero Helloween marcó una época en mi vida así como la voz de Kiske. Para mi el mejor
Lo cierto es que Dickinson inspiro a Kiske. Y ambos fueron catalogados como " Tenores Melodramaticos ".Ambos son fabulosos. Pero Dickinson...despues de un cáncer todavía puede cantar a ese nivel ? Increíble lo de este hombre!!!!

¿Te refieres a dramatico me imagino? Las voces de los tenores se catalogan generalmente así:
El tenor ligero puede cantar desde un do3 hasta un re5 (Caso Pavarotti o Alfredo Kraus)
El tenor lírico puede cantar desde un do3 hasta un do5 (más o menos Placido Domingo)
El tenor dramático puede cantar desde un do3 hasta un si4. (más o menos José Carreras)
Sin yo ser experto calculo que Dickenson es un tenor dramatico lirico y Kiske alcanza a ser un lirico ligero.
Comparto plenamente. Soy un fan de kiske, pero es innegable que kiske estuvo casi 15 años alejado de laargas giras mundiales mientras que bruce no ha parado de darle!. A eso creo que se debe el hecho que kiske a conservado mejor su voz lo cual no deja de sorprenderme (casi 30 años del keepers).
Pd (igual me quedo con kiske soy soy objetivo).

Bruce is a legend and as a huge IM fan I'd still gotta admit Kiske is the best! What an impeccable performance in every live performance he got.

My hero, Kiske...
Kiske‘s voice is still in an unreal shape. But you shouldn‘t forget that he didn‘t really tour between 1993 and 2014 when he was in Unisonic. Of course he sang for Avantasia, but that‘s three or four songs per gig. Bruce toured almost nonstop since 1981 with very hard touring schedules, so it‘s a bit unfair to compare them. Plus, Bruce is a super active frontman while Kiske is more or less just standing on stage. Kiske maybe has even more voice control than Bruce and a very accurate vocal technique while Bruce is more about power and theatrics and still has a great vocal technique and endurance (just listen to "The talisman"). They‘re both absolutely outstanding in what they do.
I could agree,your explanation stands,maybe Kiske should thank to Halloween because they removed him as a still young...so he didn't damaged his voice a lot,while and Andi Deris lost his voice too...but he was many years with a Helloween...Helloween needed this unity,..not only because Kiske's supporters?! But Bruce will be always a Father of later power metal singers even to Kiske,Deris to Tobias Sammet, and others much younger singers who sings on his style...

Por te passado por um câncer o Bruce voltou ainda melhor cara. A voz começou raspadinha+ depois foi cicatrizando o local dá cirurgia e ficou espetacular.

Óbvio que Bruce já não é aquele "Air siren", e convenhamos, nem tem como, devido a idade e anos e anos de turnês e horas e horas de shows. O Kiske tem algo a seu favor: ficou por muitos anos com a voz preservada devido a ausência de turnês e shows sequenciais, sem contar que é bem mais novo que o Bruce.
Mas é como falei, pra mim não tem essa de "qual é o melhor", ambos são ícones!
Temos de celebrar os dois por estarem no metal .

No comparison! Bruce's technique is different then kiske. It sucks to compare these two guys. One sings Power Metal and the other Heavy Metal.
Os dois são excelentes cada um na sua banda, cada um possui a sua própria personalidade e cada banda possui a sua também, o bom é que temos duas ótimas bandas com excelentes vocalistas.

Bruce's technique is different then kiske, Bruce is more belting, and chesty, while kiske is doing a mix/head, kiske is closer to Geoff Tate who made that style of singing possible in metal, I recommend checking out prime Geoff Tate from the 80s, one of the best in the 80s, flawless.
Yep, true. But Geoff Tate and Bruce suffered both from progressing age. They both can't reach their former range anymore. Kiske seems not to have this problem and is still going strong. However, three great rockvoices!
@@MrEstpas71 what I think it is, is that Geoff Tate and Bruce Dickenson have been on the road and non-stop touring, Kiske stopped for a long time, where Helloween I don't think they did big sets like Iron Maiden or Queensrÿche, I think these bands have the hardest songs to sing in metal and heavy touring will effect anyone, imagine singing 2 hours of Maiden or Queensrÿche and your encore is songs like Run to the hills or take hold of the flame, if the guy can't sing it because he is tired, I'll cut him some slack haha, tho it blows my mind that someone like Rob Halford who is over 70 years old can sing painkiller or saints in hell, halford is kinda a freak
Different technique but what kiske is doing is very difficult. Unlike the others he never screams, uses distortion, or changes the melody notes to make up for lack of breath. Basically he beats them all at breath control. Performance wise Bruce has great energy, and they both have the poetry advantage in the English language over the German. To be fair kiske admitted (2014 interview) he works on Queensryche and Maiden songs to train his voice. I look at kiske as taking the technique to a higher level from those that originally inspired him. From there the comparison can stop as all three are still delivering live shows like nobody else can.
@@RicardoMarlowFlamenco I still say 80s Geoff Tate is hard to top, The Warning album is a master showcase of that technique, Geoff Tate was flawless, but shame he lost it, he was known to be party alot, kiske biggest weakness is his wobbly vibrato or tremolo, bruce also does this, which is a very hard bad habit to break, it's not something you want, it's damaging to the voice, probably why he get tired or sick or didn't tour for a long time
Damian Perry of course, they were the masters and the model for Kiske to learn from. What I see going back to mindcrime and maybe before, the energy is there but Tate would use too much unnecessary air in the excitement of performance. I don’t think it’s age or fatigue, it’s a problem of the moment that becomes a general problem fans notice. Relaxed with his coffee and acoustic guitar gigs he makes eyes of a stranger no problem recently, proving there is no real long term problem. In the short term this guy Kiske is super conservative with the air flow, very very very careful never pushing hard since a young man till the present day. Each word he is monitoring carefully. The sacrifice you can see is unlike Tate dickenson halford, he never changes anything in the song live. Because improvising like that you might use the wrong air flow on a word and destroy any chance for the rest of the song. My opinions of course. Oh about vibrato. I agree I don’t like the vibrato of Kiske but it’s a personal style thing he got from Elvis... it doesn’t damage anything, but the normal above pitch vibrato promotes better breath support and pitch accuracy is why teachers push it.

Os dois são ótimos+ O Bruce faz qualquer tipo de impostação vocal Voz de cabeça, voz de máscara o belting, voz de peito, respira muito bem com Diafragma usando o apoio que menos desgasta a voz o Apoio nas costelas. Nunca vi o Dickinson perder o fôlego é muito intenso correndo pulando, dançando cê é louco. Michael também é um cara de Ouro.

That's compensated for in the video since theres basically about a 10 year gap between the Bruce clips being mid 2000s and Kiske clips being mid-late 2010s essentially putting each singer at about the same range in the clips.

we have to consider, how much would Kiske have retained his voice if he had to endure over the +2000 gigs Bruce had endured by 54 years old -30 years of singing heavy touring starting in 82 or so. As I write this, Kiske has had hardly over 500 gigs, and maybe only 2 single years of siging over 100 concerts.
