First time experiencing the ride in the all new 2016/2017 BMW 7 series, and the model shown in the video is a malaysian-spec #bmw730li #bmwmalaysia #bmw730limalaysia #louissiahpov
The key differences that the 2016 BMW 730li have over the previous model are:
1) a turbocharged 2.0 litre engine producing 258hp / 400Nm
2)a carbon core chassis that makes the car lighter than the previous model. Paired with the turbocharged engine you do feel quite a significant change to the driving experience where you will instantly feel that this car is much lighter and more powerful than previous model. It makes the car more fuel efficient too.
3)a revamped interior design from the steering wheel, seats, dashboard
4)a Samsung tablet located in the backseat's handrest that acts as a controller for some of the car's features.
The downsides:
The BMW 730li Malaysia spec sadly doesn't come with bmw laserlight headlights and the sunroof glass is not illuminated like in the 740li(the sunroof starlight isn't really an issue but the laserlights hmmm). And the back seats doesn't have a footrest like in the previous 730li which can be a little uncomfortable for people with short legs because you sit up a little higher than in the previous model.

+DangerZone45 nope. The new 730li uses the same engine as the 330i
+DangerZone45 but there are still stigma with such small engines in such an expensive car
+Ng Wel Lyn Lynn we can still brag that it's not just 2.0 liter but a turbocharged version. it's just becoming trend for technology nowadays to downsize engines but equip with turbo/supercharged so the performance will not be sacrificed. ops and they are very much tax friendly in our country also ;p
+Ng Wel Lyn Lynn it's not a small engine in the UK that's a big engine remember we usually have 1 litre fiestas so the 2 and 3 litres with 300bhp are enough it's the power not the size that matters
is it powerful enough for normal and highway driving? What about noise and vibration control?
For a 2 litre turbocharged engine in a car this size, yes it's powerful enough, especially so if you compare it to the previous model which is heavier and sluggish. To put it in numbers, the 258hp 400Nm engine in this new car will be able to slingshot this car from 0 to 100kmh in under 7seconds.
How Is the acceleration in this size car was ? Felling is enough or fell it’s heavy car and need more power for acceleration ? Thanks
This 730li has enough power in my opinion, just have to bear in mind it only has a 2.0l turbocharged engine so for a 2.0l to power a car this size, you wouldn't think it's underpowered.

Thanks for reply. Does the car feel "cheap " like can hear engine noise and vibration under hard throttle?
Don't mention it, I'll answer any questions as long as I have the answers to it. Noise and vibration isn't an issue in this car. From my point of view, I would say the NVH (noise,vibration,harshness ) level is extremely low hence it's overall a pretty comfy and quiet ride if driven sedately. Of course if you choose to floor the pedal, you would still hear engine rumble at high rpm but that's the case in all cars.
Oh i just re-read, under hard throttle there is a faint rumble but it isn't too bad. Quite acceptable at least in my opinion.

It's horrendous there if coupled with peak season traffic!
