@@MadebyMarley You're willing to make mistakes and that shows your confidence. I'll often avoid being creative because I don't want to do it wrong. Thanks for the inspiration.
Lel your a messy genius lol!! Iam also a messy painter. Loved how it turned out and you made some tacky Visace tac look great. Also my mum used to say "you cant go out like that you look like a dogs dinner! Love to you and Mr Marty. xx
Ha ha we are all messy geniuses. Yes the transfer was dubious and I really struggled to work out the best way to use it. I liked some parts ..I often have to prove to myself that I can ...if in doubt hack it up ...ha ha ha Dogs dinner is a good one isn't it ? Lel x ❤️
I keep yelling STOP! But you don’t. You do something I wouldn’t consider, and it gets even better! I love what you do. I’m learning that it really is okay to think out of the box! Thank you
Another great transformation Lel from a boring piece to a stunning statement piece. Everyone you do seems to just grow more beautiful by the minute & unique 👌xx
You are so inspiring me to understand how to create the looks in my head. My style is what I described as Mexican Boho lol. I’m on a very small budget and I’ve had to put everything on hold because I turned 60 and it seems like that was the expiration date lol🤪. But I use my downtime to learn things. I’ve gotten so much inspiration from RUclips videos and I know a lot of what to do in theory 😉 from RUclips videos and googling. It’s like I get great ideas in my head but I don’t know how to make them happen and or I feel like I’m limited on what’s OK to like, imagine & do. Now that I am hooked on your videos, I see that not only is it OK to see things like I do, but here’s how you make them happen. Thank you thank you thank you so much❣️❣️❣️
I'm up for Mexican boho.... Plenty of colour and lots of pattern.... The best way to begin is try your ideas on some old boards or cardboard see if your colours work and then just get going on a small piece of furniture... Your own creativity will amaze yourself. Create your look.... Thanks for your kind comment it makes me feel I'm doing something right if i inspire others to get painting. It doesn't matter what age you are... If your health is not great do a little on your project when you can.. Please send me photos of your work when you get going. Lel x x
a great transformation! , an astounding result! Great skill you have in that you've been able to beautify this particular piece furniture. And yes, I work messily too! Thank you for the information you provide about the techniques in use but also inspiration.
Thanks so much what a lovely kind comment. I'm messy I get so many paints out and lots of brushes and then sit in the middle conducting a messy orchestra...ha ha I'm glad your messy it makes me feel better, I'm also glad you enjoyed the tutorial Lel x ❤️

Sorry Janet... We have yet again had Internet issues I guess that's what comes from living in the middle of know where ha ha I'm glad you liked this and sorry you had to wait... X❤️❤️❤️
Yay another Lel video. My mum's kitchen in the 70's too. Learning from you to be a messy painter ...it's sooo much fun. My friend is always finding stuff she doesn't remember buying and last week it was a entire piece of furniture. Luckily we worked it out in the end...not completely old and mad yet 🧡🧡🧡
Ha ha..... So messy I forget I've got things all the time I would say its age but I've always been like this. I'm glad you enjoyed this and so grateful that you keep watching Lel x ❤️
I can't believe what you did to turn one of the ugliest pieces of furniture on the planet into something so beautiful and complex. Once again I am reduced to uttering an expletive here and there because there's no other way to express my amazement. I'm sure there are experienced furniture artists who watched this who would dare to attempt this look. I am not one them, but I can admire it. The touch of bronze on the drawer pulls and the edges took the piece to another level, even though it was already off the charts. I am finally able to share your work on Facebook and Pinterest. I couldn't do that on my old computer. I'm very happy that I can now. 😯
Yay I'm glad you liked it... You know how something just comes to you in a flash. I just couldn't put those inlays in the bin.... Ha I'm a hoarder. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment Lel x
I'm as messy as they come lol I have tried not to be but find it annoys me to stop and clean while creating haha so I deal with the oh no what messy after. Love how you cut up the transfers. I remember when I got my first one sat admired it and was scared I'd ruin their beautiful creation. Thing is it's theirs by cutting and recreating as you do it becomes your creation. Many blessing to you and your family from Australia 🇦🇺
I'm with you.... I'm so into the project that I don't stop to clean up then I realise I have all the paint all the dirty brushes surrounding me in a far and wide mess..... Ha ha I tell myself messy is just a creative person Thanks for watching and hello from Scotland ... Lel x ❤️
Wowza! So excited to see another of your videos pop up! Needed that today. You are so Painterly! It's hard to just be so loose with your brush strokes like that. The end result really looked like mixed-media even though it was all transfers. I like how you hacked it all up. The lacey, white Moroccan/Boho style transfer was my favorite. Loved the color scheme and the bronze shimmer. Our front room/mainroom is navy, denim blue, antique gold and bronze hardware. I always love blues in my art. I have a graphic designer's brain--right brain & left brain push and shove skills. Trained to know all the art rules, have to have eye for detail and keep design elements lined up. I can't function unless I have some order around me. So I envy those that can be very painterly and let loose! Agree with you on the odd goldy chain transfer image, eek. They should sell just the white lacey part on it's own.
Thanks so much.... Yes the transfer was a little bit dubious and I agree the white was very pretty and so was the little flowery border but I just had to make the rest work... Hope you are well Lel x
"Was it difficult, no,not really "..You're darling..I'm like..she's doing it again..I was watching it in my living room on a big TV because below is my peace I'm working on right now and my son was ..moooom what is she doing, o that's a mess, she ruined it(me laughing)because I knew it was another master peace in process..so as you were towards the end my son just sits there lol like WHAT!!?? And I was thinking now I know how I look like watching your videos lol..stunning..and I'll say this..maybe there is name for this kind of style, but I'll call it Gipsy..you know how they will get things and millions of different colors and patterns and ones put together absolute perfect look..there..Gipsy lol..thank you so much for another class ❤❤❤
Your very welcome.... I am well used to the horror and the intake of breath from marty when I just go for it and have some fun... I never watch my videos but recently I watched one and although I say go for it I realised how fast I do things sometimes and I was laughing with marty. I'm glad you liked it yes it does have a Gypsy feel and I'm happy that your son got to see the messy show.... Ha ha I love your comments very thoughtful and kind Lel x
I just cannot believe that you are not the number 1 site on RUclips for decoupage. You are AWESOME. Not my business, but a suggestion for those who watch your videos on RUclips tv and cannot take care of business and comments etc there. Please make your pieces readily seen because people like me watch on RUclips on my big tv and then have to go to my iPad or iPhone to thumbs-up, make comments, etc. It is hard to find particular projects I watched on my big screen and then try to find same video on my phone and give feedback to you and help your algorithm. I hope this makes sense. Maybe there is a way on my Sony big screen to give feedback on RUclips tv but Lordy I don’t know how to do it. If my situation is common then you are missing tons of feedback. Take care girlie
Hi Window Girl, It's Martyn here. I double checked what you were saying and according to youtube, Your TV RUclips account and your phone or Ipad youtube accounts all need to be signed in with the same google ID. If they are then when you are watching on your Sony Big screen you should see on your phone what you are watching. That's how I read the info anyway. Its certainly not a function we can influence from this end and I agree with you. We probably are missing loads of comments and feedback if people are only watching on TV. The following is what youtube say: How do you comment on RUclips videos on your TV? Make sure you're signed in to the same Google Account on both devices. A pop-up will open on your RUclips app, asking you to connect to RUclips on your TV. Tap Connect. Comments for the video you are watching on your TV will load on the RUclips app, allowing you to seamlessly post and interact with them. Hope this helps Martyn
I meant to add in my comments that the picture of your finished pieces should be prominent in pic not other stuff. Is there a way to do that? It’s just hard to look them up on my phone after viewing on my big screen. It takes a while to find each one to comment etc on my phone. I don’t want to not give you views etc and not help your algorithm and I think it would help others do same. You are the best.
Hi Deb, it's Martyn. Sorry about that one. We have had a bit of a history with microphones and this was obviously a victim of that. We have much better mics now so hopefully You can hear better on newer videos and I hope this does not spoil your enjoyment.
