Thanks for sharing your birds with us. It is certainly hard losing a pet. I'm not able to have pets due to living situation. I absolutely love birds, and appreciate being able to follow some here on RUclips. I grew up with budgies as my mum used to breed them and tame them. The very last budgie I had was 12 yo when I came home from work to find he'd been put outside for some sunshine by my housemate, but somehow a cat got to him. I was so upset as he was such a little sweetheart... it broke my heart after having him for 12 years for him to have a horrible end. Your Kiwi looks similar to my Greenie... he's just darker green. I miss all the kisses and chats he used to have with me. He loved noses. He hatched when I was 9yo and I lost him when I was 21.
My sincerest sympathy, so tragic after all that time together. We try our best to protect them from all harm. Hopefully you will have pets again and great joy when the time comes! Until then...peace.
It’s really cute!!! My bird is kiwi and your bird is called kiwi too!!!! They look very familiar, like brothers. Blueberry my female budgie which is blue gave birth to a very small egg ❤️❤️❤️ I wonder what I should name it...obviously I’m calling it by fruits..since I called My male budgie kiwi and my female Blueberry!!!❤️❤️❤️

I know it happened a while back, but sorry for your loss of Buddy. So grateful Buddy had the opportunity to play with other dogs & had your care. My parents fostered & adopted Penny the beagle who was overweight and were able to give her some active years of her life. I had a Buddy the parakeet when I was younger. He was hand trained and I was very close with him. He did not talk but looked just like Kiwi. I’ve had other awesome Budgies since (and before), but none right now. I am so grateful for the times I had them. It was always sad when they passed. You’re right, we need to value the time we have with them. Right now I don’t have pets, but help sit for some. I love them like they were my own. Each one a big blessing in my life. God bless you and your family 🙏

Second, if the 2 people (at my posting time) didn't like the video, just move on. Or maybe (giving benefit of doubt) the 2 were bummed to learned of Buddy. I love seeing Kiwi and Pixel and their antics, as it brings back the joy and interaction I had with my so many parakeets!! Trilling, tweeting, 'mumbling' and their excited body language when they saw me was just the many of the memories I replay when I see your pretty birds
I'm sorry about your loss. One concern I have regarding an adoption agency that specializes in senior pets is that if someone is looking to replace an animal who just died, getting a senior pet may increase the likelihood that they may need to go through a grief process again too soon in the future. Did Buddy replace a dog you had that had recently died?
Just found out about Buddy, oh, yes, how it does hurt. My cockatiel, Sweetie, accidentally got outside a few years ago. He had some feathers pulled by wild outdoor birds and flew to the tops of the trees across the street where I could see and hear him respond to my whistles to him, but I could not retrieve him. My only hope is that he flew to someone that took him in. He was as cuddly as a puppy and was constantly on my shoulder, so I know we miss each other dearly. Had many family dogs, so have been where so many of you all have been in the loss. Peace to all the pet lovers...
Hey Kiwi and Pixel Fam... I hope you and your little baby chickens are still doing awesome! I just wanted to ask if you guys plan to post any new videos with K & P? Reason I'm asking is that my little "Budgie" (that's his name too) is addicted to Kiwi videos. We've watched every single one of K & P's videos too many times to even be able to count. I've tried introducing him to other budgies on RUclips, but he's very faithful, true and loyal to Kiwi, so he doesn't like other birdie videos as much as Kiwi-bird's videos, LOL! He's an adorable bird (same with Pixel as well) and my little Budgie has learned pretty much everything Kiwi says (still working on "get me some BBQ chicken." He just said "I love tacos" this afternoon. It's so funny!). He mimics pretty much EVERYTHING Kiwi says (with few exceptions). It's pretty cute. We'd love to see how K & P are doing now if you ever have a chance to post something new with them.
