I live in Massachusetts as well
Just signed w a friend at Four Seasons (Woburn) this weekend. Thank you for this organization to have the petition there!
So why don't we press charges on the governor and senate?
Because that isn’t a plan that would work lol
I was thinking of leaving Massachusetts but now I’m positive I’m leaving. I’m sorry guys but with the anti trapping, anti hunting laws passed, no hunting on Sunday, and the fact that the people in the eastern part of the state outweigh us in terms of the vote, it makes it hard to believe that positive change will ever come. I’m sick of giving money from my hunting licenses and hunting goods to people who don’t care about nor study the outdoors. They don’t understand guns and live feeding on emotions regardless of the consequences. They also want to tell me what I can and can’t do everywhere. What’s funny is in VT. If you want a gun it takes nothing more than a drivers license. In mass it requires a lot more effort yet there’s not a lot of violent gun crime in VT. Why I wonder? Great topic I’m off to the gun rack to sign the petition this morning. 👍👍
Everytime someone leaves we lose. Stop running and FIGHT back!
Stop running.
@@PJBASS8225exactly 💯 stand and fight leaving makes it harder for us to get anything done im sorry but if you just give up and leave your a coward. If republican voters voted we wouldnt be in the mess we are currently in. You ain't gonna make change sitting on your ass bitching and complaining about it. That does nothing! Local action is needed here. Get involved locally!
And now with the governor screwing us and making the courts take 2 years to overturn her decision the choice is clear. To Hell with governor Healey.
What a shame! The people in the cities that are totally disconnected from rural life yet again, and law abiding sportsmen of the commonwealth have to suffer because of this. I grew up in north eastern MA and was a gun owner as soon as I was legally old enough to buy a hunting license. Another reason for good people to leave MA, much like I did 16 years ago.
Don’t give an inch or you’ll become like your northern cousins
Here's a rewritten and restyled version of the Proposed Initiative petition:
*Proposed Initiative Petition: Holding Public Officials Accountable*
The people of Massachusetts seek to amend the state's laws to ensure that public officials who violate their oath of office are held accountable for their actions. Violating one's oath of office is a serious felony offense that undermines the trust and integrity of our government.
*Key Provisions:*
- *Immediate Removal*: Public officials who break their oath of office will be immediately removed from their position.
- *Loss of Qualified Immunity*: Oath breakers will forfeit their qualified immunity, ensuring they are held accountable for their actions.
- *Criminal Consequences*: Those who violate their oath will be arrested and booked, just like anyone else accused of a felony crime.
- *Lifetime Ban*: Individuals who break their oath of office will be permanently barred from holding public office or trust.
*Purpose and Intent*
This petition serves as a warning to public officials that they will be held to the highest standards of integrity and accountability. By enacting this law, the people of Massachusetts affirm that oath breakers will face severe consequences, including immediate removal, loss of immunity, and criminal prosecution.
*Constitutional Reminder*
This law also reminds those seeking power that they must thoroughly understand and uphold the constitutions of Massachusetts and the United States.
To initiate this change, the people of Massachusetts propose this petition as an alternative to recall elections, ensuring swift action against oath breakers and upholding the integrity of our government.
Non resident here, I am coming deer hunting with my inline muzzle loader regardless of what nonsense passed down there. Hopefully Toby gets enough signatures to put all of this on hold. So I am supposed to get an LTC and a powder license to hunt muzzle loader ? I think not.
This law trigger's 2A so the state will need to come up with laws in force in 1791 that are similar to actually have their law found valid. It's just mostly invalid under 2A.
Don't blame her blame the people that voted her in
So are the Shotgun Pheasant Fudds waking up yet ?
Why is this petition not online? I would think getting 50,000 signatures would be a layup if it was able to be accessed online.
The reason for her doing the executive order was to pass the laws before the proper amount of signatures were acquired. That is why it became effective immediately.
Wait until the hunters find out their shotguns can get them a felony charge ! The EPO's are gonna be busy this fall! My EPO contacts tell me they are really upset and may not have anything to do with filing charges on hunters, just telling them verbally about the law and telling them to go home if they have any semi auto or inline muzzle loader.
Is a semi auto shotgun now illegal to hunt with in Massachusetts?
According to the paperwork that I could find and screen shot… as long as a
Non resident has a valid hunting license it is legal to bring a shotgun or
Muzzleloader into
Mass during hunting season!
Is there a loophole
That I missed?????
As of Oct. 23 it's illegal for a non resident to hunt anything with any semi auto gun, rifle or shotgun. It's also illegal for FFL's to sell ANY long gun at all, and inline muzzle loaders are illegal for non residents to hunt with and there is an LTC type license to possess the powder to shoot muzzle loaders with. So ya, seems you missed a lot and there is more i did not mention !
@@jeffhays1968
Better do more research!
A nonResident possessing a Hunting license can have a shotgun or muzzleloader during the open season
@@thegreeninvasion5511 Not as of Oct 23 unless the petition drive gets the required number of signatures to put the law on hold. You are the one that needs to do their research, it's coming up quick.
@@jeffhays1968
Bought my license
Yesterday!
Look up the laws🤷♂️
@@thegreeninvasion5511 get over yourself already dude. If you are saying you can deer hunt with a semi auto shotgun as of Oct. 23 you are wrong. Same goes for inline muzzle loaders and possessing the powder for them. Lucky for you the petition Toby is spearheading will block all that BS for 18 months. I have no plans on not using my muzzle loader regardless of what got passed, they can pound sand. But for you to say there is not an issue with our guns is plain dumb. Get with the program and figure out what they just did. The law is signed, it's in force, and our guns are now banned unless the law gets pushed out 18 months by the petition.
This law has already passed and has been signed into law.
They were sneaky and did it while everyone was sleeping, but this petition will halt it and be put on the ballot in 2026.
Vt tracker Mass muzz hunter how can I help
Fudds won’t sign the petition if it doesn’t affect their bolt action shotguns lol
