Yea but guys remember it's got a mic in front going into a recording soft ware and it will always sound way different in person I got one and doesn't sound close to this even with my gibson lespaul slash sig
I mentioned before, a boss-sd1 and noise gate gives this Marshall incredible gain, you can also lift it up near your pick us to get feedback while recording with the headphones out into your DAW, and you don't get this with sims!!!!! try it
+Matt The Riff Master I can see that. wish i had one :p. I found a tiny Marshall amp at the store I baught my guitar from but never considered buying it. I wonder if its still there. btw its really awesome that you reply to my comments. not many youtubers can catch up. glad to be one of the first people to interact with you here, as always.
+Omar Riad El Hamshary if you ever get the chance to get one like this dude do it why are so much fun!! And I love chatting in the comments dude!! It's good fun and always like to reply as soon as possible bro!
+Matt The Riff Master I most certainly will. im actually waiting to buy a multi effect pedal. i have a Line 6 spider Amp. it helps me get certain tones. what would you reccomend in regards to multi effect pedals? id really like your point of view/reccomendations.
I'm sold. In Australia it's only at $68 iand is only $20 more than the MS2. I remember back in the 80's when the original mini amps first came out a friend of mine bought one straight away. I was highly impressed with how it sounded through headphones, like a real Marshall. I gotta get me one of these.
I have a Roland AC-33 acoustic guitar amp, and connecting the Marshall MS-4 to the Roland's right line output (i.e. not the "left/mono"), gives an awesome bluesy stereo sound, particularly with the "ambience" chorus and reverb effects. The AC-33 itself is super clean, and the MS-4 adds a distorted sound to it, and an even wider stereo field.
It’s a surprisingly good little amp for what it is…don’t expect it to sound like a $1000 boutique amp I’ve had great fun hooking it up with a DOD FX52 for those Bleach style forays. I’m also happy with it for recording those deliberately lo-fi punk patisches
For all who are wandering, I own this amp and it is actually a really great one. I own a strat and this amp and its amazing how many tones I can get by the combination of two. Tonnes of tweaking is possible just by fiddling with the tone and gain knobs on the amp alone, and when i combine this with the strat, that is two more tone knobs and a volume knob which is more of a gain knob, let alone the 5 pickup selections... Lol
Don't know about the accordion but acoustic, sure thing... Of course, this isn't made for jamming with a full band or something. Not loud enough. But with an acoustic? Hell yeah.
The MS-4 is not a bad little practice amp for bedroom practice. I bought a second hand one, and I have to say I’m very happy with it, you can get some sweet tones out of it.
I played the MS 2C and I was really impressed I'm Definetely gonna buy 2C or MS4,I see MS4 has not clean channel,so the 2C would be the logical choice.
i consider buying this one for my brother who is a good guitarist. he does already have the proper marshall amp (big one) is it worth it? for jamming on the couch for example? (the amp is in another room...) nice review!
+david stadler absolutely!! It's great to just have at hand for those moment you feel creative just grab the guitar and plug in . Sounds great too. Your brother would love it it's very cool
I had the half stack version of this mini Marshall over 20 years ago and it sounded good then. I forgot what ever happened to it. I kinda miss it actually. Anyhoo I know you're a rhythm guy and I am too but, that little bit of lead work sounds pretty sweet! Also, the track you play in thrashing around the house, did you record that with the black 120th Anniversary Flying V? If so, are the pickups original or did you swap them out? Thanks bro! Always stay awesome!
+John Peacock nice one Mann!! In the thrashing around video I recorded using an esp ltd snakebyte but my plan in the future is to swap the pickups in the v to emgs dude
my friends got one of these. It sort of distorts when i play on it in a bad way. I get that all of these portable ones wont sound great but i ordered a crush mini instead. Not a bad amp but after research, the crush mini is better. Its arriving tomorrow :p
Hi there, I bought a brand new MS 4 but it’s very noisy as soon as I get it connected to my guitar with a constant buzz sound, is it normal or maybe it’s defective? Any tips?
I have a weakness for working miniature things. This is adorable. You sound good thru any amp tho.. Would a beginner be encouraged by what they get out of it??
I bought this thing and yeah, it’s a practice amp, but I still hate it. The shape is impractical, you can’t play bass through it, and the only way I can get a totally clean sound is with volume halved and gain at 0, and at that point it gets quite difficult to hear. Compared to the black star miniamp, is smaller, better control, can play bass on it, and 3 watts? Far better, I’m returning the marshalll
you will be shocked to hear this little thing keep the Marshall tone and pump out high gain metal in professional recordings using a boss sd-1 to a boss ns-2 noise suppressor! try it...its like a baby Marshall 12 lead
I’ve never tried it but I think it’s sound shit ha ha if you’re looking for something like this that is a great little amp and plays music that sounds great check out the blackstar FLY 3 ive review that amp on my channel if you wanna check it out
does it go on batteries. Just wonder like if you could put it on your waist or something? sorry for my english don't really care for grammar when it's just youtube, you know
Matt The Riff Master you think that one could work with pedals? i just wanna know bc right now i have a 20 watt orange amp and it’s way too loud for bedroom so i want a really portable one that i can take with me to hotels and friends house, stuff like that but still use all my pedals because next summer i’ll be upgrading to a head and cabinet peavey

Thatchman hell yea

Marshall ms4 mini stack full stack?
Miniature stage setup lol, I like it
Surprisingly, a tiny amp that actually doesn't sound horrible. It actually sounds pretty decent, even at max volume!
+Sam Wittsell yeah it does sound good really fun to play though
In all positions of the knobs it sounds amazing,no bad sounds here.

My uncle had one of these as a kid, and he would clip it onto his belt, and ride around on his skateboard and shred down the street
Bought this for my boyfriend as part of his Christmas gift's.
He will love it!
The world needs u
adorable little amp. with a ton of bite. I like it.

A mini stack is 2 1x10 cabs, that’s a stack for mice :)
Also surprisingly sounds usable for some noodling late night
It’s a surprisingly good little amp for what it is…don’t expect it to sound like a $1000 boutique amp

Could this be heard over an accordion
Or an acoustic
Don't know about the accordion but acoustic, sure thing... Of course, this isn't made for jamming with a full band or something. Not loud enough. But with an acoustic? Hell yeah.
The MS-4 is not a bad little practice amp for bedroom practice.
I bought a second hand one, and I have to say I’m very happy with it, you can get some sweet tones out of it.
would you recommend this for a semi-acoustic electric guitar?
Yes. Its doing gr8 with my semi electric guitar.
Very nice piece at 3:15 Matt 👍
+Kaosware cheers bro can't take all credit lol the chords where from a black label society song but the lead was improv. Thanks dude
@@mattriffmaster Which song? I'd like to play these chords but don't know what they're called
Love how it looks
Is this the one where Dimebag practiced his walk solo cause there is a video of it
That’s the MS2, I think

Awesome review! Im definitely picking one of these up soon! 👍
Im putting a pickup in my ukulele and this will be perfect ! 👍🏆.
Just a tip, when you demo the sound of the amp, it would be better to show you playing instead of just a close up of the amp
+Dan Davidson sure thing I always do that for my Demos this one was just different that's all
If I got one of these, I would get a little guitar for it.
Guess what my favorite Van Halen song is

Is it solely battery powered or can you also use a power adapter wall plug for it?
It can do both
Does it go to 11
The riff around 2 minutes gave me serious Halo On Fire vibes
my friends got one of these. It sort of distorts when i play on it in a bad way. I get that all of these portable ones wont sound great but i ordered a crush mini instead. Not a bad amp but after research, the crush mini is better. Its arriving tomorrow :p
Nice review dude! 🤘
can these also be used as a portable speaker?, i dint have a lot of monny, and i realy want a marshall product
Thank you. It was very useful.
Why did you show the amp off in the last part of your video?
You should have at least 20.000 subs morwa
+OctaPlus8 ha ha 20.000 subs would be nice dude
@@mattriffmaster you got it in the end, almost at 30k
I´m new on electric guitar, so how can you do distortion on this amp? And how can make this guitar sound . M thanks

Christian probably civil war by Guns N’ Roses
Description says it`s 4 Watts, but everywhere I`ve seen says it`s 1 Watt..
Cool solo though ;)
does it take a microphone at the same time ?
Hello, How it will sound with a bass guitar?, great video. Greetings from Perú.
not good
Can I use a rechargeable 9v battery in it?
Yes mate
Cool Matt!
Has anyone used this for bass guitar? Does it sound passable?
What is the price of this marshall ms4
does it go on batteries. Just wonder like if you could put it on your waist or something?
sorry for my english don't really care for grammar when it's just youtube, you know
It is battery powered yeah mate
old video new komment thanks for answearing it anyways xD
9v and it has belt clip
do you think this amp would work with pedals or would it blow out the speaker ?
Pedals wouldn’t work mate no
Matt The Riff Master damn i was contemplating switching this out and just using this as my practice amp cause it’s so small but oh well
You should check out the Blackstar fly that is a much better mini amp with REAL tone
Matt The Riff Master i might actually think about getting the extended cab it’s only 100$ for the amp cab and power supply
Well done. I am waiting for more. Like3
thank you
is the amp can input pod hd500x multieffect?
+DAVIN WIJAYA I think this amp is best just on its own in my opinion dude
can you use it with headphones too?
He said at 2:49 that you can
hey i am a noob. But i have a question. Can you use these as speakers?
+Knucklerzz hey erm no I don't think so dude
Matt The Riff Master okay thanks! And What about guitar amps in general? My Grandfather has some...
+Knucklerzz if the amp has an MP3/line in then you can run your MP3 through that your phone or whatever you have
Matt The Riff Master is that a good solution in comparison to normal bookshelf speakers?
+Knucklerzz playing music through an amp is normally for playing along with songs
Can you use acoustic guitars on this one?
Never tried it but doubt it would sound great to be honest
Matt The Riff Master thanks mate!
Don't know if this is a dumb question but, is this a tube amp?
+Un Tal Galvis no its not tune my friend no :)
Thanks, man :)
Hmmm, this should be good as a training amp for my room.

Tried it yet?
+Thunder-Light X no I currently have no pedals in order to try it I'm afraid
Matt The Riff Master
ok
+Thunder-Light X sorry bud
Does this have a belt clip?
+GnarMan 135 kind of... lol it has a metal clip which allows the amp to tilt back but you can also attach it to your belt
What riff 1:55?
Sounds similar to Enter Sandman but it's not
does this small amp worth the money
