I have recently become acquainted with Sri Anandamayi Ma through a chance encounter with this channel. I am 71 and play go, golf, and teach piano. I have also recently begun yoga as a part of my fitness work. I have many types of infirmities to work on. This short video almost instantly quieted the obsessive thoughts of my mind and made me feel calm and free. God bless you. Please forgive my tears.

In the midst of my grief and floods of tears over the passing of my beloved pet cat, I went to these videos about her which have always calmed and soothed me. It could have been my imagination, but I saw her huge smile from behind my shoulder reflected onto this tablet screen!! I now can believe this beautiful saint does help from beyond the veil!! Jai Ma!!! ♡
I am so touched by your beautiful comment. I have over the years experienced the grief of saying goodbye to so many precious pets. They are like family and it never gets easier. But I deeply know they have a soul also. I even think several of mine have come back to me in different forms as babies I later adopted. It is not uncommon to feel Her presence, especially when crying profuse tears. Many blessings to you in Her light, Jai Ma!

Hi Carol, an amazing thing has just happened. I know some will say it is just coincidence but I experienced something beyond any coincidence.
Yesterday on the news I saw the plight of a 10 yo British girl, Amira, abandoned in an ISIS detention camp with her two younger siblings. Their parents had been killed in an airstrike and the BBC had interviewed Amira about a week ago and she said she just wanted to be home and growing things like strawberries and cherries in her garden. I couldn't believe they had been left there to fend for themselves and contacted my member of Parliament who did nothing, it seems our government have better things to do. Then the news channel said that Turkish soldiers had overrun the camp and everyone who could had fled as they do dreadful things to civiIians, even children.
I called out to Ma to help, (actually I shouted out to Her) knowing only She could intervene with this, find them and bring them to safety. I begged Her like I never begged anyone before.
At that moment I was put into a beautiful, and for me, an exceptionally rare and powerful experience that I knew only Mother could produce. I knew Mother had heard and was going to do something.
I was certain Amira and her little brothers would be safe, I knew it from what I was feeling.
It must have been within hours, but the three of them were found, driven to Raqqa and put into the care of Save The Children. It was just on the news.
I just know this is all Ma's doing and I also know they will be back here in time to grow some strawberries and cherries!
Adrian, how beautiful. I have been heartbroken and in tears over this betrayal of our allies the Kurds and about the whole horrible situation over there. How deeply kind of you to cry out for those children. I have no doubt She heard you in your anguish and sorrow for them. Thank you for sharing this with me. You are Her son in your heart. We do not always know the results of our prayers, and yet we do know somewhere deep within. Jai Ma!
Out of 700 children at the camp only 24, including the British three, have been accounted for and given refuge, there is deep concern for the safety and well-being of the others. I can't think the Americans realised this terrible situation would happen.
Save The Children are determined to bring Amira and her 2 siblings back to the UK.
For me, I think all this must another part of the steep learning curve Mother is giving me. It's easy to be a part-time devotee but when I read Her saying to someone many years ago something like, ' will you do as I say', they sheepishly answered no, but to Her photo I answered yes and told Her I meant it.
There is so much more to this story that will have to wait but I know I am being taught to trust Her implicitly.

@@carollivelight4914 Unbelievable, the amount of civilians and children who have perished unnecessarily is heart-breaking.
Quick update Carol. The three children have just been handed to British diplomats today (a couple of hours ago) to fly them home. There are another 60 children there and I think they will be brought home as well but Amira and her 2 siblings have been singled out for preferential treatment!
I heard this half an hour ago but it's now on the news! What a beautiful end to the day. Jai Ma!

I am a patron of the process of bringing out Her teachings into the world, many of which are as yet untranslated from Bengali. I would like to speak to you briefly.... How best to do this, how to be in touch with you? God bless...Patrick
Thank you for your kind response to my videos. I sincerely appreciate it. There are actually innumerable wonderful books on Her teachings, many translated from Bengali, those of Bhaiji, Her greatest disciple, and those of Gurupriya Didi, Her disciple for over 50 years. In addition, Dr. Bithika Mukerji, who grew up around Mataji since her parents were devotees, has many wonderful books which one can find on the major book sites. Also, one of my favorite books on Her teachings and life is: "The Essential Sri Anandamayi Ma, Life and Teachings of a 20h Century Indian Saint" by Alexander Lipski, who was a devotee. Also the late Richard Lannoy's marvelous book with teachings and photos, "Anandamayi, Her Life and Wisdom" is often available in good used copies. His photographs of Her are in themselves teachings. The website Anandamayi.org and Her Sangha website have books that may be read right on them, diaries of disciples, etc, translated into English. I would recommend books by those who knew Her for years, such as I have mentioned. Most of those are deeply genuine and authentic. Her translator, Atmananda, translated into print three volumes of "Matri Vani" (Mother's Words) and these are wonderful and easily found. Also, the book which contains Atmananda's diaries - "Death Must Die" by Ram Alexander, is an absolute treasure of Her teachings It is like many of these found on Amazon and Ebay most of the time. As far as any books in Bengali that have never been translated, you would need to contact someone in India. But most of those written originally in Bengali of significant importance are already translated. One that contains deeper teachings is a little book called "Words of Sri Anandamayi Ma" translated into English by Atmananda. It is breathtaking in scope. I wish you great joy in your study of Mataji's teachings. Her greatest teaching, like the Sunshine, is simply Her Life. Jai Ma!

In that video, you quoted her words, and you used a piece of music to back the video with. Do you know what that piece of music was? With love and gratitude... Jai Ma!
I think it was "Soulmates" by Neil H from his album Mermaid. Several others have used this and it is still on RUclips and can be found in another video called "Rumi Quotes of Love and Life" as well as under Neil H. albums.

"Moksha" means "to be free" - Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya means "I bow sacredly to Lord Vasudevaya (Referring to either Krishna or Vishnu), meaning the Supreme Infinite Spirit.

These are indeed wonderful photographs! Can someone kindly identify the two elderly gentlemen standing with Ma in the photo which occupies 4: 51 to 5:08 time slot in the video; especially the garlanded and bald headed gentleman standing right behind [and perhaps holding] the idol of lord Gopal.
