I knew Arizona belonged in the Big 12. We fit. I am excited for Arizona this coming school year. Still, it is important to be a part of a conference that let us know we belong. That did not happen in the Pac-12. I will be following the next school year. I will be cheering for Big 12 schools when we aren't playing them. I really believe this is a great fit. Texas Tech will be a big rival.
The media likes to create a villain of coaches or personalities who are controversial or unique like Deion. The reality is Sanders has brought a fresh personality and market to college fball....brings excitement and interesting style. Look at the numbers and ratings he has created at Colorado, his brand, and social media engagement. Not all coaches can sell, market, or change programs. And he took JSU from 4 wins to 11 its second year. There's a lot of talk and curiosity around that program and I think it helps grow the interest.

Private Equity is poison. The investors and management get rich while the consumers suffer . Why is PE bad? Use the analogy of updating a home. A home owner cares what it feels like to live in the house long term. A PE firm in NYC will stuff as many people as possible into the home and minimize maintenance. PE ownership will include: - brands stapled to every surface (fields, uniforms, etc). - possibly the “Ozempic Big12 Conference” as branding - Money Managers pressuring a coach to play the more marketable guy - Private companies owning portions of state institutions
College football is in a terrible place ATM. Some of these players should not be playing 7 seasons of college football. Years ago these players would be looked at as “special people with needs” 😂😂 As far as all you people talking and hating CU ? I did like Deion at times with his outspoken arrogance. Well he is heading north and can get a lot of talent in. Yup 4-8 hate from last season is real. I’m betting those type of commentators won’t say that comment next year, but they will comment hate on CU next season for something else. It won’t be 4-8 though. As far as this conference it’s 3rd or fourth class. Still good football and fun to watch though.
