    Totally loving gentleman after last two episodes. The points raised by Hassan are so apt. Gentleman is actually telling the world the importance of consent. If gentleman was a regular drama, makers would have shown Iqbal Munna stalking Zarnab, and then forced her to marry him. And audience would still be clapping bacuse of the already likeable character of Munna, but its isnt so. Also, never seen so much of love and care between two male characters. These days drama industry can only show romantic love only, whereas gentleman is focusing on bromance along with romance. The only drama to do this. Last, yes all of the cast is superb, but in last two episodes, Humayun shined. He deserve much more admiration for his work I think. As Hassan said, he is adding so many layers to Munna and is so convincing. One can see Munna’s tug of war between romance and bromance. Superb. ❤

    ZPKB goes straight into the heart. We have heard many cases of child labour and abuse, but for the first time they showed the reality how children become victims at the hands of both, their parents and the people they work for and get abused. The father of the girl cashed her abuse and would also cash her death. Just when I thought Meenu was getting preachy with her speech trying to stop Dr. Naufil, his very strong and realistic counter narrative came which balanced the scene. Good writing . It would have been very unrealistic if the doctor had stayed for the second time on Meenu’s demand.

    In recent times, dramas barely show parents who can actually talk to their children and discuss important things without forcing their thoughts on their children. Zarnab and her father’s characters are such a relief from the toxic family relations shown in other dramas. Gentleman truly stands out.

    ZPKB is actually how a progressive and entertaining drama should be....it makes you proud about meenu, it makes you sad about the situation and place, it makes your heart flutter when nofil and meenu Share screen space, it makes you happy watching meenu 's parents, it makes you angry against all the bad things happening in the society, it makes you concerned.......its just that Pakistani audiences are not able to digest sense and the diversity. They are so much into rona...love angle... Shaq and violence.... Toxic parents...not so supportive men.....if the drama fails it will only be because the viewers are boring not the drama

    ZPKB: I found it very interesting that Nofil’s response to Meenu echoed what his girlfriend Malaika said in the beginning when they broke up.. that she has responsibilities and she doesn’t want to lose her job trying to be a hero. I wonder if this is a deliberate mirroring to show Nofil will eventually relate to his ex’s struggles and perspective, or if this was a miss in the writing.

    Zerd pattoon ka ban. This drama is a real-life drama. Common conversations can be understood by common people. Many issues have been highlighted in a very powerful way, especially in child labour being depicted in a very realistic manner. Only one thing I don't understand is that a mother whose daughter is in a life and death struggle and she is standing next to her former acquaintance or lover will put her hand on his hand and they will keep looking at each other or She will be praying for her daughter. I don't think so. So I don't like this scene 😕
    Ali Tahir 's acting is great 👍

    Gentleman.. I really enjoyed episode 11 for the first time. But then again, in episode 12, the same heavy dialogues. I have noticed that in all the dramas of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, there is a lot of emphasis on the dialogues, whether dialogues are understandable to a common man or not. Khair Yamuna's acting is great, and Humayun Saeed also looks good. Adnan Siddiqui does not seem to be the same poet Zaryab Ahmed in khushbu main bassy khat . Great 👍👍👍

    KMKT: how is the izzat of the girl at risk if the guy has changed his mind last minute. Hania’s dialogues where she says meri wajah say mere Maa baap ka sir nicha na ho were very problematic for me.
    How was she the reason for any disgrace!? The writers really need to write better dialogues or at least have someone else saying the right dialogues to get the message across.

    • @samrahmumtaz9469
      @samrahmumtaz9469 2 месяца назад +6

      I believe the writer's intention is to present the true face of our society, in which everyone blames the girl and her family for everything. We are all aware of what occurs when a wedding is called off just before it takes place. No matter how horrible and cruel the groom's side is, society always blames the girl, and her dignity is the first thing to suffer. I believe she was trying to convey this message when she wrote those dialogues. She understood our society's mindset that no matter how horribly Adeel acted, Sharjeena and her family would be the most affected.

    KMKT - The plot line is as you all pointed out is regressive, nothing new, same old boring story. It could have been a better story line if there was a bit of a backstory to the relationship between Fahad and Hania's characters and then shown Fahad to have had some feelings / soft corner and if HE had proposed the marriage. The whole thing is a mess. And next week's promo where Hania is crying by the foot of the bed reminded me of Mere Humsafar. I am sooooo TIRED of Hania crying which is the total opposite of her real life persona she puts out! Please directors/producers that woman needs a better role. PLEASE!

    ZPKB: This is the director-writer duo’s best venture after SeMM. It was so beautifully and sensitivity done. It showed the human side of Dr. Nofel where he is afraid of his life and how he isn’t a saint at the end, Afzal Khan and explained why he is lonely, how Samiya Mumtaz is helpless but she does have her own feelings and desires. How Rani’s brother kept the doll at her side and she died was heart-wrenching. Never felt it was overtly-melodramatic but subtle and melancholic. Although Meenu did become preachy with her speech with Moulvi sahab, I liked how Nofel countered when she tried to lambast at him. I do find Meenu annoying with her nobility. How can she expect Nofel to stay at a place of decades of jahaalat and backwardness? I understand she is desperate and well-meaning but it becomes annoying.

      Same here. I have been her biggest fan for a long time. I can't recall how many times I've read her stories over and over. So I was surprised as well. But now I believe it isn't the writer's fault. Channels and production houses require writers to write such storylines. It is not in their control. Umeera Ahmed and Saima Akram Chaudry also stated that it is not in the writer's hands. So, the first thing that came to mind was that Pakistan's top authors should refuse to create these pitiful scripts.

      @@samrahmumtaz9469 you are right. I think that the drama makers interferes with the script. all big writers should give their work to channels on the condition that they don’t make any changes.

      @samrahmumtaz9469 2 месяца назад +4

      @mahnoorinam8058 Yes, and they should stop writing these boring, repetitive, and dull scripts. These writers have achieved this level of recognition and respect through their best-written pieces, which were published in digests many years ago when social media did not even exist. So, they should not jeopardise their legacy by agreeing to write such lousy scripts.

    About Khalil ur Rehman writing, Hassan ap ny kaha k let's give this credit to Khalil Sahab who has always talked about humanistic, for instance in MPTH Khalil Sahab didn't show even once,a man slapping a woman even when the husband gets to know about illegitimate relations of his wife ,after all that the do takky ki larki dialogue was very very justified, Kiya character apnay views bhi na dy? I respect Khalil Sahab for portraying the truth so gently ,and when ever he writes,he writes with responsibility and not even a single script of him is meaningless,even his love stories holds messages like honesty,truth and devotion.still remember his masterpiece line "bara admi wo hota Hy,jis ki jaib ma uski keemat nahi kamai Hoti Hy"
    Let's celebrate Khalil Sahab as the greatest writer ever in sub continental drama history.

    I think we’re forgetting that Farhat Ishtiaq has been generally a regressive writer since Humsafar. The story is the same old forced marriage trope where the woman gets tortured by everyone. Humsafar was eons better because it had great lines (credit to Farhat), great direction and performances. KMKT has that same regressive story (generally speaking), but it doesn’t have good lines and has a terrible director. That’s why this drama isn’t working at this point.

      Not a big fan of Farhat Ishtiaq myself. Humsafar was such a hackneyed plot, it only worked because of the chemistry of fawad and mahira, sarmad's direction and QB's OST.

      @@fayzahabeeb4093 as much as I loathed at the torture Khirad had to go through, I still applaud Farhat for her writing style in Humsafar. The one-liners, the simplicity and of course Sarmad Khoosats legendary craft all helped that drama. Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum literally has none of these aspects unfortunately. And it’s suffering because of this

    Mansur ibn Abi al-Aswad reported: I asked Al-A’mash, may Allah have mercy on him, about the saying of the Exalted (in Quran), “’Thus, We appoint some oppress as allies of one another because of what they have earned,’ (6:129). What have you heard being said about it?” Al-A’mash said, “ I heard them (companions) say: If the people become corrupt, the worst of them will be appointed rulers over them.” Source: Ḥilyat al-Awliyā’ 5/50

    First of all I would like to appreciate Hassan. You never looked this good before. OMG. I couldn't take my eyes off you ❤.
    I agree to Hasan and Aamna that KMKT was a highly disappointing watch. I expected a lot more from this drama knowing it's Fahad's comeback but sorry to say it didn't like up to my expectation.
    On the other hand, #ZPKB and #Gentleman dramas both are soaring high and I'm thoroughly enjoying watching these dramas. I didn't wanted Dilbar to die so soon. I want to watch Yumna and Humayun's character romance to build up in coming episodes.

    ZPKB: the supporting characters are written so well. This is great writing! Love how Meenu challenges the status quo and how Dr Nofil is a grey character, not a perfect ‘hero’.

    ZPKB, it's a very sad angle of the society, but the parents of these innocent children are to be blame as much, these people have kids to earn money not for the love of kids, if there are strict laws on this maybe these young domestic helpers can be saved.

    Hassan, I hope you read this (with an open mind). Every time you take KRQ’s name, my heart hurts. You seem to admire him and at times put him on a pedestal. So why does that make my heart go 💔?
    As a survivor of DV, there are qualities I see in him that are VERY similar to an ab*ser. He may write poetically, touching upon women’s issues BUT then he turns around and degrades women, using words of vulgarity against them, screaming at them when they challenge his ideology. This is the exact behavior of a manipulator and ab*ser. They slap you, then grab your feet, begging for mercy….until they do it again.
    Yes, you have a right to your opinion, but in all honesty, my heart truly hurts when I hear the admiration in your voice. No offense meant, but I would not be surprised if it came out that he was an ab*ser himself….the signs of manipulation are there!
    🙏🏽

      Sorry to hear what you went through. I guess survivors of DV can be more attuned and perceptive of certain behaviors that the layman cannot see.
      I cringe whenever anyone says his name. And after seeing today’s news about him, perhaps some of your intuition is spot on!
      Wishing you continued peace & happiness. 💪🏽
