She’s lucky to have those eyes that do half of her job effortlessly. In this episode, we also learn that she shares an interest in poetry, unlike Nofil’s ex. And Nofil is definitely going to notice that. As for the writing, it’s the best script currently on air. Even the selection of poetry is commendable. This episode referenced love poetry (reflecting their current situation), while earlier episodes had Nofil reading Kaifi Azmi’s "Aurat" to Malaika, a powerful representation of feminism that indirectly defines Meenu. I’m glad the writer portrayed Raani’s mother as taking a stand, rather than making her dependent on a "messiah" like Nofil, Meenu, or anyone else. ZPKB rarely disappoints, and even when it’s slow, it’s still far from boring
#ZPKB: I agree with Hasan that the scenes between Sajal & Hamza are really beautiful. It’s a slow burn & old school type of love. I don’t care what other people say. Every episode leaves me satisfied & wanting to see more.

The scenes between hamza and sajal are so good but I was also expecting him to mention the heart wrenching ghazal running in the background that make the scenes even more powerful. "Koi naghma-i- isqh gaye na gaye" I am addicted to this ghazal. Listening to it on repeat.

GENTLEMAN: To claim that the only weak link in Gentleman is its writing is a far cry from reality. When these so-called acting maestros signed up Gentleman, hadn't they read the script which did not make sense at all? Aamna and Hasan are cutting these 'superstars' a lot of slack by constantly praising their 'acting'. Frankly speaking, the plot is the backbone of a drama, which is nothing more than philosophical fluff and quite illogical, must I add! When the plot doesn't make sense, everything else doesn't mean much. Humayun Saeed is in denial about how old he is. The unnecessary glorification of Munna's character feels forced and irksome to say the least. For all his high and mighty talk about 'halaal ki kamaai', its funny to the point of being ridiculous as to what he does for a living, STILL, and then has the audacity to spew out all those sermons. Its high time that you stop playing these silly KRQ-scripted roles and opt for real and genuine characters like Nauman Ejaz. Also I am very disappointed in Yumna Zaidi and Haissam Hussain. My reason to watch Gentleman were these 2. And both of them have disappointed big time. In the equation of Haissam's direction and KRQ's writing, I had sincerely hoped for the former to outshine the latter but unfortunately the opposite has taken place.

Gentlemen: Aamna is right. How has this hard-hitting famous journalist turned into this devoted housewifey thing? Right from the time when Munna was first admitted into hospital, Zarnab does nothing but bring tiffin boxes of food and drink to the hospital and later to Munna's house. She is most hugely irritating now. I lost interest in Gentlemen the minute Zarnab turned into a mushy kitchen-bound housewife.
Gentleman..just watching it for Yumna ..loved her expressions in confession scene..she is pro in enacting romance through eyes. Humayun was also good otherwise KRQ has made the series boring with unnecessary long monologues. I think Krq was not meant to write a Gangster drama.
Jaan Nisar : it's trash and crossed all limits of toxicity, absurdity negativity in the form of Dua's dad, Sarfarz n family ( barring dad), and Kashmala, etc . And now NG will misunderstand and fall into Kashmala 's trap as far the upcoming episodes are concerned. Then Dua continues to be dumb. For some strange reasons, she can't tell NG that Sarfaraz is the same guy who caused her all the misery . The drama is dumb toxic n boring all in one. I'm done watching this . Whereas, after watching gentleman, I think the whole plot needs to be revisited, several dialogues need to be rewritten, by a serious and mentally healthy writer. Krq just get “Aamad “ of one line , “ hum gundon ka gentemanon sey muqabla hay”, and write a drama full of absurdities, un natural emotions and contradictory statements.

Gentleman didn't hit the mark from day one, and the hollowness of its plot was exposed within the first 3-4 episodes. And no, Yumna and Humayun dont look good together. Whether it's their acting or non-existent plot, I can't tell, but this pairing doesn't click Also, no criticism for Yumna's looks, but i feel her looks are being overly praised . Im saying this because Zarnab is not a fashion icon and has not been projected as someone who's known for her style and clothes, etc, which needs to be talked about. So i dont see the point of this aspect being highlighted unnecessarily. In fact, some of her outfits are quite shabby and feature dull/ repetitive colors/ shades. The look they have given her is pretty standard, so these compliments feel exaggerated. I dont think there is any extra effort that's been made to give Yumna a statement look. I would love to see such a drama one day where they really make Yumna look different and truly fashionable.

Gentleman: I'll have a friend or my sibling summarize the story for me esp. what happens in the end. This is my plan for the drama so I don't feel a sense of 'fomo' 😄. My interest has fizzled out unless they add some scenes between Mifra and Zarnab, I feel they jell well and can become besties while Faris and Munna can be removed from the picture. Also Rehmati can hang around, he is quite entertaining esp. when he envisions his limbless life ahead. ZPKB: This drama is poetry in motion, such a joyful watch with a healthy dose of reality. 😍 More of these please!
There is absolutely no story for Gentleman drama, it’s only working because of famous star cast that’s all, it’s super boring and with 0 chemistry. It’s such a weird plot that Zarnab has left the job, 👎🏻 hadh hai, the whole munna and. Rahamati drama was so nonsensical, they have wasted such good actors here, there is nothing to talk about this drama, I’d say the best on air drama right now is Kabhi Main Kabhi tu, even when it’s a simple story, that’s the way to write stories, beautiful dialogs, and execution. Its strange that this drama does not get that fame that they deserve.. Even Zard Patton ka bun is awesome..
That's is the difference between Farhat Ishtiyaq and Khalil ur rahman. KMKT is a very common story but the way farhat has written is overshadowing even the the worst directors filters. But in gentleman u have the best director in town but the script is worst. KRQ is typically overrated!
gentleman is so boring and that is because of its writing! sometimes rehmati seems very odd when he tries to become a comical character. But after this episode it felt like the story might rise or become interesting again.
Most women in our culture are taught that mard jo marzi karay if you don't obey him or give him his rights you're a bad wife and you'll go to hell just because you said no, no matter how he treats you. I've seen this happening to someone very close to me and is still going on. And that woman is not even a young woman or anything she's above 50 yet her husband tells her that you don't sleep with me so you're going to hell, and he's the same person who used to beat her, cheated on her and to this day abuses her whenever he likes.

This man believes he is still in his early twenties. I have been watching him since I was a child. The other actors, who were his rivals, such as Adnan Siddique and Farhan Ali Aagha, are now playing elderly men, but he believes he is a vampire. I am not denying that he maintained himself quite well. But he is undoubtedly too old to play the hero.

ZPKB amazing but i agree it should be paced faster Ishq hua Has some flaws slightly illogical but very beautifully shot. Love tabrez character and he looks great.But minsa is too much of a "damsel in distress" for my liking that she cant given get down from train by herself. Looks very pretty but no attraction beyond that. Gentleman stopped watching after first few episodes.

#zpkb. As much as I am a Sajal fan,it is disappointing to see her playing a village girl with such a refined accent. If you only listen to audio of the character,it would be really hard to figure out if she is an educated city girl or an FSc student who lived all her life in a very under developed village. I don't know if it was director's call or the actor's but it is really distracting when everyone around her speaks with a punjabi accent and Meenu with proper sheen qaaf reciting shakaib jalali.

Nobody is trying consciously to speak like a villager. Few of the actors are in Mann Jogi, you could hear them speak like that in there too. I’m pretty sure if the director had asked Sajal to speak in one, she would’ve. As I said, the village is fictional so I don’t understand the need for a Punjabi accent
I look forward to watching Gentleman and then I finish the episode and think…what have I just watched. I feel the dialogues are drawn out and there is not enough actual action happening. The scene between Rehmati and Munna should have been an action scene where Munna is ambushed by Rehmati and his men, somehow survives with the help of Dilbar and the story moves forward from there. The conversation between Rehmati and Munna at this point in the drama was unnecessary. The drama is dragging and as much as I am enjoying the performances and the actors, it is not enough. Mifra wasn’t even in these 2 episodes.
I am watching Gentleman because am hoping the pigeons are gonna talk some great philosophy one day too and I know it will happen really close to end ...am just so waiting glued to my screen
Barzakh: I know you guys have already reviewed this, but we just finished watching it. Really enjoyed it! As a viewer, you have to wait till the 5th episode to start getting answer. Loved the singing in last episode. The show is good/ok - not wow and not terrible. The crux is about forgiveness and circle of life in relation to death. And it makes sense that Asim wrote it after his father died. There was a dialogue that I really liked - when you lose a partner it's like losing a part of your body/limb. You learn to function without it as other areas of the body get stronger. Losing a parent is like the roof collapsing. The damage seems easily repairable and easy to get by. And then a storm comes and you realize how vulnerable you are.
Gentleman - Stopped watching this drama longback. Could not digest the idea of an educated woman falling for a goon... totally bizzare... Yumna's acting seem to be forced....she doesn't look convincing.
Re: Tamasha: All games/Tasks end up being chaotic, unruly and changing the rules mid game …. And everyone not participating with commitment or even any interest, resulting in most tasks ending either cancelled or candidates winning who do not deserve it. I do not recall this in previous 2 series. This years is really not as organized nor being run in the manner where participants are vested in the spirit of Tamasha.

I agree with @mehreenmisbah9556 It's clear that Amna and Hassan are hesitant to criticize big stars. However, it's important to acknowledge that these stars were aware of the weak script in advance. We can't ignore the fact that actors also play a role in the failure of big plays. The plot is a failure, and the dialogues fail to match the setting. It feels like we have philosopher-goons in Pakistan. It's hard to understand why a famous journalist would fall for this. Does it make any sense? How many real-life girls would act that way? Didn't Yumna review the script before signing up? Himayoun's acting and expressions are also incredibly boring.

Agree with Aamna, Yumna has lost the unfgh and fiestyness in her character and is a full time cook... Nothing wrong with that but everything needs to be like ying and yang and not just Yang sadly.

Gentlemen: Aamna is right. How has this hard-hitting famous journalist turned into this devoted housewifey thing? Right from the time when Munna was first admitted into hospital, Zarnab does nothing but bring tiffin boxes of food and drink to the hospital and later to Munna's house. She is most hugely irritating now. I lost interest in Gentlemen the minute Zarnab turned into a mushy kitchen-bound housewife.

Jaan Nisar : it's trash and crossed all limits of toxicity, absurdity negativity in the form of Dua's dad, Sarfarz n family ( barring dad), and Kashmala, etc . And now NG will misunderstand and fall into Kashmala 's trap as far the upcoming episodes are concerned. Then Dua continues to be dumb. For some strange reasons, she can't tell NG that Sarfaraz is the same guy who caused her all the misery . The drama is dumb toxic n boring all in one. I'm done watching this . I only watched Dua n NG scenes, but I'm done with them, too . Can't consume stupidity

Gentleman: krq said that nobody can change his lines in his dramas. Whereas, after watching gentleman, I think the whole plot needs to be revisited, several dialogues need to be rewritten, by a serious and mentally healthy writer. Krq just get “Aamad “ of one line , “ hum gundon ka gentemanon sey muqabla hay”, and write a drama full of absurdities, un natural emotions and contradictory statements.

Gentleman didn't hit the mark from day one, and the hollowness of its plot was exposed within the first 3-4 episodes.
And no, Yumna and Humayun dont look good together. Whether it's their acting or non-existent plot, I can't tell, but this pairing doesn't click
Also, no criticism for Yumna's looks, but i feel her looks are being overly praised . Im saying this because Zarnab is not a fashion icon and has not been projected as someone who's known for her style and clothes, etc, which needs to be talked about. So i dont see the point of this aspect being highlighted unnecessarily. In fact, some of her outfits are quite shabby and feature dull/ repetitive colors/ shades. The look they have given her is pretty standard, so these compliments feel exaggerated. I dont think there is any extra effort that's been made to give Yumna a statement look. I would love to see such a drama one day where they really make Yumna look different and truly fashionable.

They literally did point out the flaws in writing. Were you not listening to that part? Also, drawing parallels between Jaan Nisar and Gentleman doesn't make sense. Jaan Nisar is just a regular Geo soap. Meanwhile Gentleman isn't that bad. It's just boring and KRQ's writing and dialogues don't make sense anymore but atleast koi istree se current nhi laga rha aik dusre ko.
The father cheering on his daughter's love with a gangster is beyong me tbh. Who does that? Who encourages his daughter to go late at night to meet her lover, cook food for him. It is so senseless.
@dystopia384 this gangster risked his life to protect zarnab? Of course her father is grateful. Also not every father needs to be overprotective and controlling. It especially wouldn't make sense here because zarnab is a journalist who already interacts with all sorts of dangerous people. Her father wouldn't have let her do a job like that if he was that conservative.

When Aamna mentioned that Kashmala was going unpunished for attempting Dua's murder multiple times; it reminded me of what she said about Haya in Tere Bin. Jaan Nisar writer was told by GEO/7th Sky to make the drama like TB and here we are with Star Plus type dramatic nonsense.
Gentleman: I'll have a friend or my sibling summarize the story for me esp. what happens in the end. This is my plan for the drama so I don't feel a sense of 'fomo' 😄. My interest has fizzled out unless they add some scenes between Mifra and Zarnab, I feel they jell well and can become besties while Faris and Munna can be removed from the picture. Also Rehmati can hang around, he is quite entertaining esp. when he envisions his limbless life ahead.
ZPKB: This drama is poetry in motion, such a joyful watch with a healthy dose of reality. 😍 More of these please!
Gentleman couple have no chemistry
There is absolutely no story for Gentleman drama, it’s only working because of famous star cast that’s all, it’s super boring and with 0 chemistry. It’s such a weird plot that Zarnab has left the job, 👎🏻 hadh hai, the whole munna and. Rahamati drama was so nonsensical, they have wasted such good actors here, there is nothing to talk about this drama, I’d say the best on air drama right now is Kabhi Main Kabhi tu, even when it’s a simple story, that’s the way to write stories, beautiful dialogs, and execution. Its strange that this drama does not get that fame that they deserve.. Even Zard Patton ka bun is awesome..
That's is the difference between Farhat Ishtiyaq and Khalil ur rahman. KMKT is a very common story but the way farhat has written is overshadowing even the the worst directors filters. But in gentleman u have the best director in town but the script is worst. KRQ is typically overrated!
gentleman is so boring and that is because of its writing! sometimes rehmati seems very odd when he tries to become a comical character. But after this episode it felt like the story might rise or become interesting again.
Most women in our culture are taught that mard jo marzi karay if you don't obey him or give him his rights you're a bad wife and you'll go to hell just because you said no, no matter how he treats you. I've seen this happening to someone very close to me and is still going on. And that woman is not even a young woman or anything she's above 50 yet her husband tells her that you don't sleep with me so you're going to hell, and he's the same person who used to beat her, cheated on her and to this day abuses her whenever he likes.

This man believes he is still in his early twenties. I have been watching him since I was a child. The other actors, who were his rivals, such as Adnan Siddique and Farhan Ali Aagha, are now playing elderly men, but he believes he is a vampire. I am not denying that he maintained himself quite well. But he is undoubtedly too old to play the hero.
The same goes for Faisal Qureshi too.

Agree with the Gentleman review... but enjoying the yumna, humayun scenes. The story is flawed. Zarnab cannot suddenly disregard the fact that munna is a gangster. If the corrupt officers are at fault then so are the gangsters. There is no such thing as a good gangster.
#zpkb. As much as I am a Sajal fan,it is disappointing to see her playing a village girl with such a refined accent. If you only listen to audio of the character,it would be really hard to figure out if she is an educated city girl or an FSc student who lived all her life in a very under developed village. I don't know if it was director's call or the actor's but it is really distracting when everyone around her speaks with a punjabi accent and Meenu with proper sheen qaaf reciting shakaib jalali.

Actors usually butcher the accents so Saife Hasan decided to not have the actors speak in one. Kesar Kalan is a fictional village so it’s okay.

I remember saif e hasan's sang e mar mar as well,everyone was speaking with a pushto accent except uzma hasan who had such a pivotal role and performed really well but it felt really odd when one of them sticks out without an accent.
@@phychem3 I can’t hear an accent from a lot of people like Roshan, Muqaddas & a lot other villagers. The actors were asked to speak in their natural accents. Nobody is trying consciously to speak like a villager. Few of the actors are in Mann Jogi, you could hear them speak like that in there too. I’m pretty sure if the director had asked Sajal to speak in one, she would’ve. As I said, the village is fictional so I don’t understand the need for a Punjabi accent

I look forward to watching Gentleman and then I finish the episode and think…what have I just watched. I feel the dialogues are drawn out and there is not enough actual action happening. The scene between Rehmati and Munna should have been an action scene where Munna is ambushed by Rehmati and his men, somehow survives with the help of Dilbar and the story moves forward from there. The conversation between Rehmati and Munna at this point in the drama was unnecessary. The drama is dragging and as much as I am enjoying the performances and the actors, it is not enough. Mifra wasn’t even in these 2 episodes.

Barzakh: I know you guys have already reviewed this, but we just finished watching it. Really enjoyed it! As a viewer, you have to wait till the 5th episode to start getting answer. Loved the singing in last episode.
The show is good/ok - not wow and not terrible. The crux is about forgiveness and circle of life in relation to death. And it makes sense that Asim wrote it after his father died.
There was a dialogue that I really liked - when you lose a partner it's like losing a part of your body/limb. You learn to function without it as other areas of the body get stronger. Losing a parent is like the roof collapsing. The damage seems easily repairable and easy to get by. And then a storm comes and you realize how vulnerable you are.
Hepatitis C does not spread like this. It is not spread merely by sharing utensils

Re: Tamasha: All games/Tasks end up being chaotic, unruly and changing the rules mid game …. And everyone not participating with commitment or even any interest, resulting in most tasks ending either cancelled or candidates winning who do not deserve it. I do not recall this in previous 2 series.
This years is really not as organized nor being run in the manner where participants are vested in the spirit of Tamasha.

It's clear that Amna and Hassan are hesitant to criticize big stars. However, it's important to acknowledge that these stars were aware of the weak script in advance. We can't ignore the fact that actors also play a role in the failure of big plays.
The plot is a failure, and the dialogues fail to match the setting. It feels like we have philosopher-goons in Pakistan.
It's hard to understand why a famous journalist would fall for this. Does it make any sense? How many real-life girls would act that way? Didn't Yumna review the script before signing up?

Hassan, although we appreciate your feedback. We have noticed a lot of the time you repeat what amna says just in a different way. Which kills the review. Agree with Aamna, Yumna has lost the unfgh and fiestyness in her character and is a full time cook... Nothing wrong with that but everything needs to be like ying and yang and not just Yang sadly.
