Maut isn’t physical death. It is the death of ego and self…and results in complete union of two lovers/partners. They become one- inseparable.
That’s how I see (and wish) the story will progress.

Wahaj nailed his character. The way he portrayed the chronic alcoholic Bilal was different from his past performances, be it his voice modulation, dialogue delivery, body language, or walking. He embodied the character very well. Also, the switch to sober Bilal and his scene in the grave immediately connected with me. Wahaj's eyes did the magic there. His scene with Namdar in the car was so brilliant, the nuances he brought within seconds made me feel sorry for him. Bilal is an interesting character, and Wahaj is nailing it.

Duniyapur: thankfully the director added the last two ayahs of Surah Bakara and the authentic dua of the funeral recited by Shamsher instead of just showing them wiping over their face at the grave, like in every other drama. We should promote right Islam always.

Kabhi mein Kabhi tum- You guys mentioned Iftikhar saab and his silence and missing Mustafa but missed the most important monologue he said to himself how hurt and painful it is taking money from your kids and you shouldnt be dependent on your kids what a beautiful reflection that was one of the best scenes. I know from experience as my parents said this that it ruins their self respect even if kids can afford it self respecting and people with dignity dont want to be fully dependent on children it ruins the relationship I found that more profound then any scene and it made me cry😞

Parents of 80s/90s did not get time to save for themselves unless both earned for their family. So children paying parents' bills should be treated with dignity. Please do not encourage your children to think it's below dignity to pay their parents' bills at times of need. The elderly are not expecting their children to spend all their salary on parents coz parents have been in the shoes the children are yet to be in.

So true, parents should never become dependent on any of their children, it’s their own self respect. Parents may always be the givers and providers for their children and grand children! May Allah always keep the parent/parents independent!

Sunn Mere Dil is a typical story. What got me hooked is Wahaj's character and his acting. Wahaj took a big risk by choosing such a character and so far he has done a great job. The effort is visible, be it his styling, voice modulation, mannerisms, etc. He perfectly portrayed the drunk Bilal Abdullah.

One can't help but draw comparisons between Fawad khan and Fahad Mustafa. While Fawad continues making one bad decision after another ( barzakh and now a bollywood movie with some unheard of female lead, Fahad seems to play all his cards right. He may not have any foreign industry experience to his name (does one really even need that to strike it big?? ) but for sure he is the superstar of the country at the moment.

This is exactly what I was thinking. This year we witnessed the return of four PTV heroes... Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humayun Saeed, Fawad Khan, and Fahad Mustafa. But honestly, the best comeback award has to go to Fahad Mustafa. Seriously now that’s what I call a real comeback. Everyone in South Asia is buzzing about KMKT and his incredible acting. The drama is approaching its climax but it’s still going strong and still it continues to captivate the audiences and I really hope it stays on track. Hamza Ali Abbasi also made a solid return too but the other two didn’t quite hit the mark. I admire Fawad Khan but his rising fame in India seems to have made him a bit arrogant leading him to choose some not so great projects lately. He still has that superstar vibe but at the end of the day people remember actors for their performances, not just for their looks or status.

Also the raw emotions Wahaj is portraying just by his eyes is so impressive. Bilal's character is really intriguing, & his story is still to be unfold, there is definately behind what Bilal has become. Bilal & Sadaf's track will be quite exciting I think. Same 7th Sky cringe-fest….this is 2024 and the audience is intelligent enough to skim through options. The story has to have some kind of meat to hold attention of the viewers. While there are out-of-the-box concepts like Dunyapur, Faraar and Standup Girl, KRQ is repeating the same formulaic nonsense. It’s like Wahaj ke andar KRQ ki rooh chali gaee hai.
Having said that, it’s gonna be a huge blockbuster relying heavily on Wahaj’s star power. I am glad Amna didn’t hesitate to speak her thoughts aloud and didn’t sugarcoat the flaws but Hasan is as usual fangirling.

KMKT: Farhat Ishtiaq has written such a beautiful romance. Even if we love complex tales of human moralities (JSA, RRK, Parizaad), we are always looking for a sweet romance. This explains why we still remember SRK most as Raj or Rahul. Who better to write a romance than Farhat Ishtiaq. She has made Mustafa a green flag - he is infuriating when he becomes egotistical sometimes or angry - but he still remains an empathetic and sweet person who is self-aware and doesn’t take his wife for granted. Just wonderful. Him caring for Sharjeena like mango milkshake, making breakfast or making her laugh even though he may seem sad - is just beyond beautiful. Fahad Mustafa, away from the screen for a decade, came back with such ease that he just flew to the topmost position. I am confident that Farhat will not cause Sharjeena to miscarry which will make him irredeemable, but how she will show the separation will be interesting.
I just wish Adeel wasn’t shown this black. He has no redeeming qualities at all. He’s a fraud, embezzler, cheater, liar and manipulative. Similarly, I wish Sharjeena is given more complexity because all she does now is say “theek hojye ga”, “khush ho” or any other sentence of that sort.

SMD: Only Wahaj was the saving grace of the drama. His acting, though caricature at times, is good enough to convince us that he is a drunkard. He channels melancholy in this character really well which makes the viewer intrigued. The “achi larki” trope is overused by KRQ, and so is the love at first sight. Usama Khan looks like he came from the set of Ghair, and overacted his joy or innocence. Maya looked gorgeous, but I hope she has some meat to her character, and not another achi larki who changes the man and spews achi larki dialogues. That track was overdramatic and foolish and was incredibly repetitive, but Saba Hameed’s dialogue delivery made it tolerable (though it did remind me of Sana & Saba Faisal in Zara Yaad Kar). Looking forward because the team is great, and KRQ’s dramas start from the 6-8th episode

  • @ahsanarshad918
    @ahsanarshad918 День назад +7

SMD: I am little disappointed with Amna because usually she is the one who picks out subtleties in a drama. Sadaf, Ammar and Dania have passed out universities and that’s why Ammar is applying for a job. They are not college students. Plus sadaf enters the library and she says, ‘mjy laga k tum 2no akely bethy hongaey kahen’. This clearly tells you that she knows that Dania loves Ammar. Even Ammar knows that because he is a very smart and clever which you can see when he cuts the reference and writes Namdar Mirza as his reference. Wahaj Ali was as usual spell bounding. KRQ was good in these first 2 episodes but Hasseb Hassan is outstanding. Maybe you weren’t paying attention but there were lot of expressions especially on Ammar and the way he was dancing in the Hotel. What sort of thing is this that it’s a 80s story? KMKT mein hum kya robots dekh rahy hain ya koi zombie story hai? Pakistani TV par to ginti ki 8 hi stories hain aur wuhi saary bataty hain…what matters is execution and execution of this play is so far splendid.

I don't recall any hero playing such a character in recent years. We should applaud Wahaj for taking such a big risk and experimenting with his acting. The way Wahaj ensures each of his characters has a unique identity through wardrobe and voice modulation amazes me every time. His voice modulation, glare of eyes and mannerisms are perfect for a person who has resorted to alcohol to get over his grief and baggage, and wahaj teary eyed hits you specially that Kabr scene ….Although I feel one or two drinking/stumbling scenes could have been chopped off…there were too many in the first episode itself. On the contrary I felt Sadaf to be a bit ott, specially the scene of rejecting Ammar’s proposal over the phone. SMD: The setting is grand, the cast look beautiful and the cinematography is amazing but the things just end here sadly. The story is meh. The ost seems to be a ripped off of JEJ. The dialogues are just so boring and KRQ's signature style does nothing now. I was instead getting bored by these same tone of his dialogues. Who talks like this in reality??
Wahaj looked breath taking. His eyes and his body language supported his acting skills to bring Bilal Abdullah as a main character. But the character in itself is unbelievable. Who remain drunk 24/7? His employees are totally fine and doesn't show any kind of shock to see him stumble and talk like that? How does he sign the papers? How does he get ready so immaculately?
The love at first sight is yet another turn off. Why couldn't we show something else than this?
Sadaf was just your typical heroine and Maya just couldn't help with this. In some scenes, she looked forced. Her laughter was forced. Amar and Usama got new nothing new to do. I like Hira Mani in this role tho.
In short, this drama is just another typical 7th sky project and nothing different. The only thing worth watching here is Wahaj Ali. He looks amazing and that's one of his best looks so far. And his acting here is top notch.

Sun Mere Dil: It was pretty obvious from the teasers what the story would be. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is selling his ishq, bewafai manjan again and who better to portray that agonized Devdas
than the popular lover boy Wahaj Ali. I have to admit, amongst all his leading ladies, Wahaj shares one of the best chemistry with Maya. But seeing them in this 7th Sky OTT hoopla, I am painfully reminded of Rumi and Sonya from Jo Bichar Gaye.....how nuanced, profound and poetic was the connection between Rumi and Sonya....miss them so much! And knowing that the director of this drama is Haseeb Hasan, I am reminded of Alif and Jannat se Aagay.....the profound themes, the meaningful plot, the layered characters and the exquisite execution....what masterpieces were those! The journey from Jo Bichar Gaye, Alif and Jannat se Aagay to.....THIS was an agonizing one to take, given the stakeholders involved. But yes I am more than certain that its going to be a mega blockbuster. Because that's what the taste of the public is they love to prefer a Fitoor over a Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin, a Tere Bin over an Ishq Jalebi, a Mere Paas Tum Ho over an Alif any day. So congratulations to the entire team in advance for the grand upcoming success of Sun Mere Dil. Waise bhi Khalil sahab badly needs a hit after the disastrous Gentleman. Oh by the way, I think Sun Mere Dil bears a resemblance to Gentleman in the sense that the OTT emphasis on Gentleman was how apparent ghundas should not be misunderstood as they are the ones who are real gentlemen. Similarly in Sun Mere Dil, there will be an OTT emphasis on how apparent drunkards and womanizers should not be misunderstood as they are the real decent people. Gentleman mein comparison Munna aur Faris ke beech mein tha, Sun Mere Dil mein comparison Bilal aur Ammar ke beech mein hoga....JUST SAYING
