- On a warm summer day, two peahens engage in a fight, but no one was hurt. The peahen with chicks in the beginning ended up chasing the other peahen away. The other peahen had 3 chicks of her own, a little bigger than the first one's chicks, but they were not in the video. Filmed at the L.A. Arboretum in August 2021.
I'm glad neither one was hurt. Perhaps they were fighting over that male peacock that was displaying.
Thank you for watching...not easy to watch, I know. I'm also glad no one was hurt.
I don't like when they fight, but it's part of nature, so I include it reluctantly in my videos.

I don't think so. The peacock was displaying before the hens started to fight. The peacocks usually display when they see peahens.

Wonder why they were fighting
I wish I could read their minds. Sometimes certain peahens just don't like other peahens, and when they get in close proximity, they fight.

The peahen without chicks is jealous of the one with chicks.
