- Welcome back to an other lessons of the Loa!
The Loa of Azeroth: Mysterious and powerful beings of nature found in nearly every corner of the globe and worshiped by the many Troll tribes found across Azeroth. Today, we return to the archives of Zuldazar to learn about the Tiger Loa himself: Eraka no Kimbul! Sit back & listen as we learn the history of Kimbuls temple, the terrible price he & his followers paid and the unexpected arrival of new allies!

Kimbul is one of my favorites so far, spending time doing his quests were the most fun in Vol'dun.
I just saw this for the first time and it was so fun and special to see. I wrote and designed the Kimbul questline for Battle for Azeroth which established a lot of the lore in this video. The lessons of the loa, in particular were a labor of love, and while I knew that most players probably wouldn't stop to read them, I wanted Kimbul to be more than just a vengeful tiger god.
Thank you for making this video, it was amazing to see one of my stories come to life so beautifully and with incredible narration. Kudos to everyone who worked on it, this was probably better than the actual questline itself.

Ah man, I didn't think anything would top the Sethraliss loa video for me, but you've done it again!!!
Yeah, this one was really great, then again they all have been. Some serious props to the person that designed that pre sundering map of northern Zandalar, very well done.
I also love the shade thrown at the HS team concerning Shirvalla, because I agree that sure does look like Kimbul to me as well.
I was really impressed with how Jeff designed it. When we talked, I (Jesse) told him I wanted to use different parts of Zandalar to really sell the idea that the jungles surrounding Zandalar really had scattered cities, temples and more! He decided to use some clever cutting from another map and really sell that to the point it looked natural when the Sundering ate it away.
And seriously why Shirvallah? Why not Kimbul? Or why not use another model! It was a direct copy! I do think that B4A should’ve made Kimbul into a Jaguar to fit the Aztec/Meso-American theme! The King of Cats being able to transform into different cats is wouldve been pretty neat!
@@TheLostCodex That is really cool how Jeff made that map.It really did sell the idea of how it may have looked prior to the Sundering.
Lol, I agree, Kimbul looking more like a Jaguar or just being able to take on the form of other cats would have been cool. Considering in the short story about Vol'jin and Zalazane's journey into First Home to seek out the Loa it is inferred that the Loa don't have a set form, that they are actually golden orbs with tendrils of light branching out from the center. So they basically take on a form they feel suits them.

@@TheLostCodex Same here. I'd been hoping that the battle with Zul wasn't the last we'd see of him since it happened but in the end we shall see. For Sethraliss, Shadra, and Torga to have all been reborn you'd think there would have to be a way for Rezan to come back as well.
And while I'm not too big on the new existence of Ardenweald, as it conflicts with the existing lore that beings of nature go to the Emerald Dream when they die until they can return, I am looking forward to all the potential Loa, Wild Gods, and others we will meet there.

Nice Video but i have so many questions. Is kimbul shirvallah? Or is shirvallah a aspect of kimbul or are they 2 separat loa and if they are who is stronger?

Only issue. Green Orcs can't wear the Mag'har heritage armor.
Nothing Lorewise says they can’t wear said armor- Trolls and Orcs wear it in the Terror of Darkshore cinematic!
If you stayed for the credits you would hear the Horde characters that appeared in the video were custom NPCs and characters of our patrons and that particular patron decided to submit a green orc in that armor!
@@TheLostCodex I did see that they have Orcs and Trolls wearing the heritage armor in the Terror of Darkshore, and honestly it kind of rubbed me wrong. I am a huge fan of Orcs, and especially the pure bloods of old Draenor, so seeing that did bother me. Considering they haven't done something like that with any other races heritage armor. The armor is very Horde I'll admit, it just kind of erks me to see it used on races that can't actually wear it in game.
Ok, I didn't hear that they were custom characters, only that they were characters of patrons.
To be honest? The troll wearing it really threw me off too. Like I’ll forgive the grunts wearing it! They’re Orcs and while it is so fitting for Mag’har it’s certainly not impossible for some modern orcs to look at it and sort of reminisce about the old days of a Draenor. But a Troll?!
I left the form open to patrons to design their NPCs & OC’s however they want with no armor limitation (meaning they could mix and match) so I get why it’s a little bit of a different choice! I wonder if there’s a story reason for that armor choice 🤔 I will have to ask them !
