Enjoyable viewing thanks. Some well intended comments there from chaps schooled on an Estate steeped in private traditional game shooting hence the ''correct'' in the field gun at rest observations. I think the over the shoulder mode stems from the idea of protecting the barrels from being ''dinged'' which I have witnessed with the over arm swingers 😈.Safety is paramount whichever you choose especially when having shot with ''farmers'' carrying a loaded gun shut under their arm...🤬.Don't think it is a major issue today so each unto their own just be ultra safe.
Not done, perhaps on your shoots and with the company you keep but those who I shoot with are more than happy for us to hold our guns however we wish so long as we are safe.
Surely it’s just as safe as over the arm. So long as the user shows the utmost safety I can’t see an issue but depends on the company and team you shoot with.
I think it really depends on the day James. I’m from a background of walked up and rough shooting so we don’t use sleeve as often as those who just attend the bugger driven days stuck on pegs.
Wonderful, Jonathon, as always. Living vicariously through your adventures. Thank you.
Jonathan that looked a cracking day out. Very enjoyable watch loved it👌👏
Love the side by side, lighter, quiker, excellent.

Another brilliant video!
You will be shooting a hammer gun next Johnathan! Superb video and superb guns (I shoot a KM4) 💥💥
Great footage Jonathan
Muy excelentes lances de cazerias amigos saludos chebres caza
SBS.The only way to shoot sensible height birds. So where did you get the shooting suit, nice cloth and looks well made
Thanks my friend. The tweeds are from Massy-Birch.
Nice to see you using a proper gun for a change Jonathan 👌
Thanks Glenn. This is one of a pair of super special Kemen Paralelas. Love them so it’ll be a shame when they are sold.
Agree. Now go really traditional with an old English (or Scottish) hammer gun…you don’t need ejectors.
We do a black powder pay every year, hammerguns and home loads. There’s a film on our channel from a few years ago.
@@JonathanMMcGee I’ll have a look for it.
Loved the video! Just curious as to the weight of your gun.
This pair weight around 7lb each. Wonderful guns to shoot.
Don't think you will need 32" barrels and 34g 5's for those birds, but nice video
Traditional game shooting at its best. We chose Eley Hawks Impax Traditional paper cased cartridges in 30g 6s.
Nice drilling in field
It’s not done to carry a gun on your shoulder like a clay gun! Especially a sxs. Rather weak ejection
Really?

Cal.???
I have never liked to see a person on a peg loaded with it over there shoulder

@@JonathanMMcGee it’s just me as all the young seam to carry guns in different ways not in sleeves I’m like traditional ways

@@JonathanMMcGee thank you I know only driven days now as my legs are budgeted have a great Christmas and new year and good health
