Plastic better for economy, Plastic ok if roads are smooth and car is not tracked. Metal better if car is tracked, they are stronger. I have Metal on my car now, but I have had plastic before metal were available with good results and no failures. I do not rack my car.
Just purchased them and received them from the US! My only question is before proceeding with the installation: where can i find the OEM stepped washer, are they already installed on the existing configuration on the car itself? Shall I purchase them separetely? Is there a Porsche part number for these? Thank you very much!!
There is no Porsche part number for the stepped washers and you do not need them with Light Savers II. If you must have them they are available on eBay here www.ebay.com/itm/5-Boeing-brass-bearing-bushing-sleeve-flanged-aircraft-3-8-x-1-2-x-5-8-brass/181300721411 I also have a down loadable sketch of the dimensions on my website if you want source them locally. img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/62779d48-41f3-42c8-9b60-6fb217fd8856/downloads/1ccj5iga2_517452.jpg?ver=1571063900908
Yes, I'm Rennfix.com but I have been having problems with faceplate production and do not currently have any available. subscribe to my RUclips channel and you will be notified once they are available as I post videos of all product releases.
@@Engineerboy100 Cool beans. Thank you! If you have anything leftover that isn't perfect, I'd probably be interested in that as well. Just need something to replace this darn cracked plate and I don't want to shell $300 for an new cupholder I'm never going to use lol. Thanks for getting back to me!
I'd put off installing these for a couple of weeks but wow - easy job - five minutes and they're on. Excellent, thanks for the vid!

Hey there, are you connected with Rennfix at all? If so, is there any way I can purchase a cupholder faceplate? Cheers

What gasket sealer do you recommend?
I use Grey gasket maker from O'reilly, have used if for decades.
Nice👌
