as a sonic 4 addict who has 20 100% save files and 999 lives on both episodes, i LOVE how you gave ep 1 it's rightful cleanup! it's a broken but beautiful masterpiece of a game forever in my heart
They are always Good, but the instrumentation is the biggest problem, and the bad mixing made it worst. This remake used the exact same vst and slightly add variety, along side good mixing made it FAR better, you can hear the separation of each layer more clearly

I've always loved the Sonic 4 soundtrack, I remember my dad bought me the game on my wii and I loved it as a dumb stupid kid. I know it's not the best game, but I still enjoy it.
Sonic 4 is a game I grew up with, and while its by no means the best sonic game, and I understand its hate, but damn, its a nice little game :) Do I wish there were a few improvements? Yeah. After playing Mania and Rush, I can feel the stiffness and complains, but damnit, this game has a special place in my heart :)

It's not even that different, yet it sounds way better... though I still think the composition/melody of some of these is too bland to be saved by good sound quality. Oh well, at least the good stuff sounds even better. :) (seriosly though, huge props for finishing all of this. it's easy to lost motivation halfway through, yet you persevered 'till the end)
