      @@foodreacts837 there’s a scene where they talk about tradecraft, everything being backwards, trusting lies and all that, disinformation and counterintelligence is a messy thing

      Agree... It's a great movie, perfectly directed by DeNiro...but I don't know why it's not appreciated enough...

    The start of the movie skips a small, 2 year period between the end of WW2 and the passage of the National Security Act..

    His response to being asked if the movie was anti-CIA was strangely evasive. Liberals used to be very critical of the military industrial complex and the deep state. Then it all stopped after the Obama administration.

      I had no idea Gambon was a nazi until watching a review right after the movie, i feel it was hard to read the story

      Two deaf women, first he left to marry Margret, second was a spy who got shot for seducing him, third appearance was first love renewing relationship. Gambon was a German sympathizer from the get go.
