imo, the 2 big reasons tournaments are currently in a bad spot: 1) The biggest source of tournaments rn are Russians who're fully against restreams, sometimes not even providing a stream with English comms. If there is an English comms stream, at least one of the guys is some Russian struggling to both commentate and speak English. Nobody wants to watch these streams aside from Russians and the most dedicated of players. 2) Deadlock Fight Night going on a hiatus at the start of December that was supposed to just be a week but has quietly continued on through the whole month with no communication on if/when they're coming back.
I am interested to see where valve will go with the update this week.
