Loving the new video editing. Great information all around. Thank you!
Thank you hakobo!
@@Alckemy Never thought to put a small amount of frequency shift on a bass like that. Definitely going to start doing that.
This video is insanely good. Thanks alot bro

Check out a comprehensive guide to neurobass 3^^
Ive been focusing on sine wave compression and freezing/flattening recently with very limited effects and filtering
This is amazing, and gets you maybe 1/8th of the way there. Something I don't see in any of the KOAN Sound tutorials is the actual sound design. They don't just set automations and let it run, they really handcraft almost every movement the bass makes. This is a really fantastic tutorial, but there's also tons of presets and patches that sound just like this, but nothing like KOAN Sound. I really want to try my hand at that level of sound design but I have no idea where to even begin, so this is a good starting point I think
Don’t overthink it. They have a patreon that shows exactly how they do it and the only difference is I set randomizers and they don’t. It doesn’t sound the same because it’s not mixed in context of a song. Where the magic lies is the nuance. How much of this, how much of that. Finding just right.
@@Alckemy I feel like there's a lot more resampling that they do, the randomisers is a really good idea for sure, it just feels like none of the bass sounds or automations repeat at any point in their songs
@@Alckemy that patreon though I might have to cop that hahaha
@@OfficiallyMaidenless as someone who’s learned directly from the pros, I’m telling you what it is lol. There’s nothing to figure out anymore-the information is out there. What I’d suggest is not trying to hold tightly to recreating their sound. This video is meant to inspire you to try to make you’re own stuff.
I’m not koan sound and neither are you. That’s the beginning of the video
@@Alckemy Oh I absolutely agree, I've been gathering tips and tricks from all over the place and trying to incorporate them into my sound, and I think I'm definitely getting there. It's when I'm listening to stuff like their remix of Reflex Angle, there's so much happening with the bass, so many subtle changes and movements. It's not so much about recreating the sound, but I want to be able to use those techniques so I can give my basses more variety and movement. Sometimes I have a great bass sound, but none of the patterns or progressions sound the way it does in my head.
Bro do u can make this using polygrid ? In bitwig? 😮
Yes
