So that's possibly the more direct parallel being made between scenes, as opposed to Ned's execution etc. !
Small correction about Ned's beheading of the Night's Watchmen in Season 1 Episode 1: Ned didn't behead him because he walked onto his lands, but because he deserted the Night's Watch. The oaths of the Night's Watch are life-long. They must serve for their whole lives, and the punishment of deserting is beheading.
It's amazing the amount of talking they do on each important dialogue. There are lines that might be repeated seasons later but they keep talking. Seems like they are waiting for the moments of action and the story line is not that important.

Ned would've had no reason not to take the scene at face value-- an attempt by the Lannisters to upend Robert's rebellion and seize the throne for themselves. You made some comments about the issue of magic when Beric Dondarrion was brought back from the dead. Magic in Westeros was once in the world but had faded away. Now it is here again. Remember what the warlock in the House of the Undying said about their magic being enhanced with the coming of the dragons. This comment suggest there is a connection between the existence of dragons and magic.
I’m actually pissed off at Robb the moment he married Talisa. It’s a huge mistake and it’s irresponsible of him to do so, he lost respect of many of the Northern houses because of that too. Him executing lord Karstark was another misstep from his part and added salt to the wound. He’s tactical in battle but not so much in being able to foresee the consequences of his actions.

This being so late you probably won't see this, but Ned didn't behead that guy because he crossed into his territory, it was because he was part of the Night's Watch and he deserted.
John didn’t lie, there are three towers functioning on the wall at this time, there used to be many more. I think Eastwatch and Shadow Tower are at opposite ends of the wall and Castle Black is more in the middle.

Jaime knows he didn't have to stab the king in the back & after he sat on the throne. That's what Ned walked in on. Plus we hear Ned tell Jaime "yeah you served the mad king even serving was easy & safe". The king needing to be dethroned or even executed is not the same as the choices Jaime made.
you are so right about jamie still being able to fight, its kinda weird that GRRM didnt think of it. like he can just put a blade on his hand, or the duel grip like you said.
26:05 Jaime killed the Mad King. Right after that Ned walked in and Jamie was sitting on the throne which pissed Ned off and he immediately thought that Jaimie had murdered the king. Not knowing that he did what he did because the Mad King was fucking mad and wanted to kill literally everyone
@@bustreacts Jaime fookin' Lannister is the best redemption arc character ever written. And it's not even really a redemption, half of it is just revealing his true character. Fun fact, Jaime doesn't get POV book chapters until Book 3. Season 3.
Why do you always seem to think that because something happened a couple of scenes ago in the show it also happened a couple of minutes ago? Two scenes in the same episode can be set weeks, or even months apart. Tywin knows about the Karstarks leaving because when he mentions it to Tyrion it has happened a considerable time ago, not yesterday.
Honestly, Ned was kind of a naive hypocritical prick at times. Early in season 1 he chastised Jaime for standing by and watching as his brother and father were killed by the Mad King, but then chastised him for killing the king when it meant saving lives. Funny that Ned enjoyed prattling on about oaths when his rebellion against the king was breaking an oath in itself. Like, bro, what do you want from Jaime, he was in an impossible situation.
6:48 nobody believes in the magic because they think it all died with the dragons. They don't know the dragons are back and so is the magic. 9:54 she is definitely the most beautiful woman in the show and that comes from a heterosexual female. Sansa is a very close second , then Daenerys ,Arya, Rob's wife, Osha,Gillie,Myrcella, Melisandre, and Margery. 12:34 yes Jamie did push bran out of the window but all of this bullshit that's going on right now is all 100% Joffrey's fault for killing Ned Stark 30:43 why would you trust a man who put a knife in Ned Stark's throat
Jamie knew ned wouldnt believe him because....ned didnt believe him.neds honor trump's neds.jamies most honorable act.. saving millions and the result is ned brands him as kingslayer.
Yes Jaime pushed Bran out the tower. But y’all need to start paying more attention not to what they do, but WHY they do what they do. Jaime says it himself before he pushes Bran. “The things I do for love.” It implies that he doesn’t want to do it but for love he must. Same with Queen Cersei. She shows regret a lot of the times. And even admits to doing horrible things. But her reason to do those things is always her children. This show shows you one thing to deceive you, but shows you another. You just have to pay closer attention.

It was Jamie's fault though, it seems when Ned got to the Throne room, Jamie was sitting on the Throne like a cocky bastard after killing his king with his blood on the ground still. Who wouldn't judge him ?? I wasn't surprised that Ned (especially) didn't even want to listener to his side, dude is too. honourable.
Another great one thanks guys! Almost to 1000 subscribers let's gooooooo!
Almost there!!! Thank you !!
Charles Dance who's a classically trained Shakespearean actor is brilliant as Tywin Lannister.
Finally someone who was as touched by Arya's scenes as I was. This entire episode is glorious from start to finish. My favorite episode in the whole series. Loving your reactions!
Also the song playing during that beheading was the same as the one where Theon beheaded they guy in season 1, except he had a smooth one at least.
This is the moment we knew Jamie is a character that tries to be bad but he's good from the inside.
❤ Love the into, today. 😊
First reaction I watched today and it was awesome Busters 😎👍👍
Lady O btw is not Margaery mum she is her Grandmother...
You guys will learn more about the skin issues that the Princess Shireen Baratheon has..
I agree the scene between Brianne and Jamie was brilliant as was the scene between Arya, Thoros of Myr and Beric Dondarrion.
OMG the second half of this season is (well you guys have already had some great insights) ...about to hit the fan.
Yes as you can already see Tywin not a happy camper who is even now collaborating with Littlefinger as well.
I like the cry tally my friends so get ready.
🐺🦁🦌🐉
The only episode iv really understood and felt for cercie being sold off as a child to breed and how that messed her up
She was already 90% evil before that, throwing her friend down a well for having a crush on jaime. But forced marriage is a punishment no one should suffer
This episode is so f***** amazing!
The flaming sword fight was very hard to film as it is not cgi and the flame only lasted for 2 minutes at a time.
That's 🔥 ... lol thanks for the info
didnt expect this to drop before the jets game
And they won!
Lol, these boys had no military or political value. The Lannisters refused to even consider trading them for Ned Stark's daughters.
The bathtub monologue is poetic, but Jamie crippled Bran, disrespected Catelyn, and only sleeps w/ his sister. Not amused 😒
Nah yeah he's deff a P.o.S. but still there comes a point where it's like enough already
@@bustreacts I hear you
@@bustreacts Jaime fookin' Lannister is the best redemption arc character ever written. And it's not even really a redemption, half of it is just revealing his true character.
Fun fact, Jaime doesn't get POV book chapters until Book 3. Season 3.
I can't wait to see your reaction to the Mountain verses the Viper 😂
Those are not stannis' people. They are people from brotherhood
Lowkey starting to think bro on the right is the Karen haha
Why do you always seem to think that because something happened a couple of scenes ago in the show it also happened a couple of minutes ago? Two scenes in the same episode can be set weeks, or even months apart. Tywin knows about the Karstarks leaving because when he mentions it to Tyrion it has happened a considerable time ago, not yesterday.
It's not Olanna, it's Olenna, sounds like O-lyn-a.
Thanks
And she's not Margery's mom she's her grandma
Honestly, Ned was kind of a naive hypocritical prick at times. Early in season 1 he chastised Jaime for standing by and watching as his brother and father were killed by the Mad King, but then chastised him for killing the king when it meant saving lives. Funny that Ned enjoyed prattling on about oaths when his rebellion against the king was breaking an oath in itself. Like, bro, what do you want from Jaime, he was in an impossible situation.
i love you guys
We love you!!

old powers are waking....
Ned didnt, kingslayer is kingslayer to him. Jaime deserved better, especially in the books
They really hate old people...
Not long to go now before the episode that separates the men from the boys lol
