I have to say my Brother I've just started watching your channel...and man you really are clear with all your explanations..fantastic help!!..great videos my Brother really!!...im 53 and im still learning!!..Thanks for the videos..if your ever in NYC!!..I will be there..
I got both the Inov8 and the TYR L-1 Lifters. The Inov8 are great yet the TYR L-1 Lifters are the best. Yet what lifting shoes should I get for deadlifts? I just use a flatfooted Nike similar to Chuck Taylors.
The firm, flat sole and the overall rigidity of the weightlifting shoe, still helps with low bar squatting. In terms of the heel height, don't go for the full inch, but instead get a pair with 0.5-075 of an inch.
I squatted for years in oly shoes. Yeah, hitting depth was easy, but I also blew my knees a part. I played around with my form for years thinking my pain was related to that. Ever since I threw them in the trash, no pain, still hit depth no problem.
Are you saying your back should be completely up.right and vertical on the sqaut? Cause I see many lifters yea they keep a straight spine but its not vertical
No, he's exaggerating. In the front squat, your back needs to stay almost upright otherwise the bar will fall in front of you. High-bar back squats benefit from being relatively upright because your spine is a longer lever than it is in a low-bar squat.
Olympic lifting shoes, someone what they really are, music to me ears. fucking squats shoes dummys/ ive just got bought same love em. tyring to explain to anyone im using them mainly for standing shoulder press is painful.
In 90% of this video we can not see your feet and ankles, yet that's all you talk about. But, thanks for sharing that you broke your ankle and that you have a girlfriend! Because no one cared about that. Terrible video.
He doesn't have to show it to you to get the point. He said his right heel raises when he squats just V I S U A L I Z E it in your head. If your heel raises that means you have bad ankle mobility and can't reach depth easily in a safe position hence why he uses heels to eliminate the heel raising

How about for low bar squats with a wide stance

That's odd, because I get less knee pain when elevating my heels.

Oly lifting squats will be different form than powerlifting or bodybuilding squats. That's why some or straight up and some lean forward.

You didn't even mention what the shoes do or how they are designed to help. We just have to take your word on that test.
