No, it is not. Taking risk is fundamentally dumb & dangerous to not only you but others, as well. Plus, it may be your computer, but it is not your OS... you merely bought a license allowing you to use it.

I really can't understand why MS doesn't support CPUs that were just released in 2018 and “actually” run wonderfully. I bought a laptop in 2018 “Lenovo IdeaPad 330” with an Intel Pentium Gold processor and bypassed the system requirement when installing Windows 11 and what can I say? It runs just as wonderfully as with Windows 10. I do function updates (2xH2) as in-place update. Fortunately, I still had a Lenovo m720q here (really great part for the size), with an Intel i5 8400T (also from 2018) It just proves the greed behind buying new CPUs or computers, i think there is any contract with Intel/AMD. If tech companies ever try to tell me they want to protect the environment and the planet, I'll fall out of a tree laughing. I remember when I installed Windows 7 on the Pentium 4 Northwood and despite the increased demands, it still ran smoothly by Pentium 4 standards.
I LITERALLY JUST ASKED THIS QUESTION TONIGHT ON MS COMMUNITY FORUM: I took the PC health quiz for windows 11. This is the criteria: 1. PC must support secure boot-check; 2. TPM 2.0 enabled on PC-check; 3. at least 4GB RAM-check (i have 20GB); 4. system disk has to have 64GB-check. I have 1000GB; 5. lastly the processor must have at least 1gHz AND be on the approved list.. Mine has 2.7gHz But its not on the list. Can anyone explain to me why that is? When I went to look at the list; there are processors that are running windows 7 on the approved list. Make it make sense...
I think MS wants to benefit PC & components manufacturers associated with it who were not be able to sell as much as compared to past Windows upgrades.
As someone who has supported MS operating systems, I am so sick and tired of Microsoft. Personally, I left Microsoft in 2013 and have not looked back since then.
Microsoft has always taunted its superiority as an OS. Ir has always been a lie. Not even MS is going to make me spend money just to run their brand of OS. I already have a backup plan to run my computer, and it doesn't involve MS or the "security" measures it says it's taking to make us safer. And, by the way, wasn't it MS that left a crack in its programming to allow companies to run unwanted ads on our desktops. Give me a break, Gates.
I have several computers that are running Windows 10 and that are not allowed to run Windows 11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA #Linux Plot Twist: several of those are running Windows 10 and Linux in dual boot, so... can you guess what will happen, Microsoft? 🙂 (For any Windows 10 user who reads this: Linux really is not that easy to get. If your computer is still good enough, just give Linux a try (like, Linux Mint with Cinnamon).
MS is absolutely spot-on for sticking to these requirements. It is too bad, so sad & a wee bit pathetic that people want to balk over this. Not appreciating the security concerns in our modern tech & computing world is nothing but silly stubbornness & naivete.

No. I think that M$ should have allowed 6th/7th gen Intel and 1st gen Ryzen processors if their motherboards support TPM 2.0. I am affected by this lack of support. Perhaps in a normal world Congress would have investigated M$ for this and forced them to let up some. Too much is too much.
