Very well explained. I like the wire idea also.

Thank you for the video Casie. It was most helpful. Your doll is adorable. She reminds me of a Cherry. ❤

You might try peening the ends of the needle / side with a ball peen hammer ( they have tiny ones in the jewelry section of the craft stores usually). It will flare the ends and make it less sharp as well

What a clever idea. - Just wondering if using thin gage wire through the hole as an alternative to the needle would work? The wire could wrap round the neck and join the two ends either front or back ( I am thinking front would leave more room for joining) so then there are no sharp points to deal with and could not fall out.' That way you would not need epoxy resin. I Hope that is good explanation. Thank you so much for your great ideas for our dolls. love you channel. x

Maybe! I tried different sized needles and anything fatter than that one was not working but I didn't try wire. Maybe next time I'll give it a try. ;)

@@BeBeDolls BTW it's a pin, not a needle. A needle has an eye at one end, not a ball end.

Could you just bend the ends of the needle into a small loop, enough for it not come through the holes?

What about using pliers to bend the ends up so it cannot slide out?

That was exactly what i was thinking. Use a piece of wire, leave a bit of length either side, add some glue & bend it up into the neck.
