Very well said brother and my opinion the guy/girl that flipped you off probably knows nothing about what a truck can or can't do,so its the truck drivers fault 😂
We just have to ignore people sometimes. Sometimes we deserve it, we don't want to admit that but it's true. All we can do is do our best everyday because people's lives depend on it.
I've been driving for over two decades so I have a little bit of experience and have seen a lot of dumb stuff. One thing I try to do is keep traffic moving even if it holds me up a little bit. I drive an ungoverned trucks always have so I have the gas to get around whoever I need to buy if I am in a situation you are in I just get back behind them. Yeah it's an inconvenience but it keeps people moving and it's safer for everyone because people do get impatient and do stupid things like passing on the shoulder. I'm never in such a hurry that I make a situation unsafe. We are professionals and we should act like it regardless of the situation.
