What a long process, l know so many BEng Engineers without this accreditation, l fail to see its value as of yet except having to pay an annual fee to ECSA, how does this application help me, l got the Candidate Engineer one but not finding incentive for the Professional Accreditation.

This is all helpfull...but ECSA should make it mandatory that the Employers to assist candidates to register...I have worked all my life 12 years but my experience dont qualify me to register....South Africa is good in stipulating regulations but do not follow up on their processes....especially in this diverse country where we do not have equal opportunity

Having masters in Engineering even though you followed diploma path enables you to register as an engineer contrary to what other say in the field.

if you have Bsc(ENG) or BEng yes, masters degrees are norrow fields, they don't really count in registration, Even people without Undergraduate engineering qualification they can do MEng

Having masters in Engineering even though you followed diploma path enables you to register as an engineer contrary to what other say in the field. Things have changed, then we have people who have studied BEng Technology who at end of the course enables them to register as technologist. Which after further years of studying especially MEng are able to register as engineers.
