The best romance anime for me. Accidentally watched it when im in first year High school since my sister keeps on rewatching it. And now that I finished watching it for the nth time as an adult, I can guarantee this is the best!
Agree with you, Same as your experience i just watched this anime accidentally because my older sister keeps rewatching this, when Im still in my 3rd year highschool, at first I didn't like this because of the old animation and etc.. but later on as time goes by, I can safely assume that this is one of the best romance anime out there.
Yeahh romantic anime these days are just nonsense, it's all about fanservice or being too much on the cute side. We want emotions, true to life plots and great characters again. So nostalgic!

I never get bored how many times I watch this anime. This was my first anime and it still never ceases to amaze me with how many times I watched it still never got bored every time I watch this it just becomes so nostalgic
I just remembered episode 14 of this anime wherein Kotoko was in the rain and then Naoki shows up with the umbrella.... One of the romance anime that makes me put to another level of romantic excitement, and yeah older animes are better. ☔😍
I love this second ending theme over the first one. Surprising, too, since I don't usually go for ballads. This one is really well-done, and I like the added rap.

Naoki was such a douche at first I hated him so much because of his initial arrogance, although he was a lot smarter than kotoko, man could've remained a bit more humble, but later he became more likable after the rain scene
Honestly when I hear this song it reminds me on how I got rejected the first time I actually got the courage to confess to someone. For some reason I am still not able to get over him, and this song makes me feel that we are in love even though we aren't. Anyways this anime is the best I have ever watched so far. I have binge watched this so many times that i am not able to get over the way Kotoko was able to get Naoki head-over-heels for her. I felt that this anime was such a cute romance story. Their kid is also very cute.

This song hits me hard 😢 I went on dates with someone last summer and then they said they wanted to just be friends. A couple months later, they said they wanted space. Didn't say exactly why or when they'd want to see me again. I keep holding on to hope and waiting for them to come back...even though maybe I'll never see them again despite living so close to each other. 😔 I wish they would realize I'm a good person to be friends with. 💔

For its era, it was a typical and cliche Rom-Com anime. It’s still a good anime, but each era has its own troupes.

The rain and umbrella giving is the best way to start a relationship. It happens in Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
