I might be wrong... but it seems like Arcsys made Android 21 as a "test" character for future dlc's. The free teleportation is an example for the "pixel teleportation" that janemba could use in this game. Just a thought
João Filipe Costa cell also had a free teleport. But I hope they implement more characters with unique things above their meter that do interesting things
It's cool one of her specials are used to clear out her stolen moves. One might think that's a bad thing but that can also be useful if you're not liking the current moves you stole and want to reset.
The way I see it with these types of characters it's exceedingly important to master their normals first instead of their specials. She reminds me of Susanoo from Blazblue and his unlock seal system, and to top it off she has some janky command grab game that mirrors Susanoo's regular grab pressure combo game. You have a few ways to play, you could focus on grab combos and then ditch the new supers with the Detonation super and then repeat, or you could choose and select into other combos, she seems like a difficult character at first but you can play her so many ways. Her style of play seems like a reward for players who've put time into all other characters. You can play her like a rushdown grappler or a confusion based zoner, she's truly an all around character, which is probably why she's the boss character.

Some of these techniques are decidedly stronger than the others, so 21 has some meta-game strength in that she can force the opponent to be more wary about switching certain characters in so she can't take their skills.
Comparing this to Rouge's power steal in both XvSF (can use a single move from the other 16 fighters) and MvC2 (temporary increase in a single stat depending on who you kiss due to the massive roster) and I gotta say 21's way of stealing techniques is a fantastic compromise between the two versions, especially since there're 8 more DLC characters incoming for a total of 30+ characters.

So her FB special consumes the stacks of specials she's stolen to power up the FB. Does it ALSO power up and consume the stacks if you call her assist? Or, like Phoenix Wright or Hsien-Ko in MvC3/UMvC3, does it just stay powered up as an assist and we could, say, play her on point to get our 4 stacks and then tag her out to be a huge assist
I cannot tell if it took a lot of development and design effort or very little. You got all the absorbed abilities which lead to various playstyles but what if they just let us unrestricted link them together.
anybody else think it’s strange that the Majin character’s skin color changes with their costume colors? it’s not like there’s a yellow Vegeta or a green skinned Gohan, why change the pink characters?
So can we get caulifla as dlc with kale as backup(just like Android 18 is for android 17) and give them a super in which they fuse( think something similar to golden frieza) I think this would be a very fun charcter design. Also can I get a champa skin for beerus?
I thought I saw in her character trailer her green barrier had her teleport upwards and fire her ki spread. Is it just the same as Android 18's, it builds meter if it absorbs hits?

oFlappy Well, experienced fightung game players can tell if a character will be top tier solely based on their knowledge of fighting games (range of normals, their ability to have a balance of zoning/close combat tools, their assist etc)... Like how FChamp predicted Captain Marvel would be top tier in MvCi solely based off Captain Marvel's gameplay trailer...
