      People drawing those closest to them often do the best they can, his paintings of others not being very good also could have been him trying to say something about people in general

    He was actually a bad painter as well. The castle paintong might be good, but there are examples where his proportions are all wrong.

      Nevertheless he tried. He had a soft analysing artist in him.
      The question is what killed that artist ?

      @@estasenora9747 Nothing did. He remained an artist his whole life. He always said that he lamented the fact that he became a chancellor having to fight a war. He would've much rather built great works of architecture. But his country needed him.

      @@victorkreig6089 no, im really not. He has some paintings where his windows and floors are all fucked up.
      I could like his paintings even if they are technically bad.
