Man, leave poor Gene alone. Guy is getting old. He's still the best but he's mixing players up a little. Still isn't as bad as Doc during the Cup. Dude was calling everyone on our team the wrong name.

Ironically, word is Doc is announcing his retirement. 74 and hanging it up. I have to agree though, the playoffs were not kind to him (were the NBC announcers calling from a diff. location like Mish/Espo were?) because Doc's calls were off by a substantial amount of time.

I miss Gene Deckerhoff. Moved to Atl 16 years ago. I've been telling my son for years about how we used to turn off the TV audio and listen to Gene call the game, back in the day.
