There's a clever bit of irony with Horobi and Jin, in the sense that (at least in the first half of the show) they aren't free. They're ultimately just slaves and tools for the Ark who blindly follow it's directives.
That's pretty sad.
just finished realxtime yesterday, i got those v-cinemas left but wow, this show is truly something. lot of emotional significance about humans and robots alike, making more sense with each one, great stuff

Zero-One has some issues, but I honestly still love the show and is one of my favorite tokus to date.
My god, every time Fuwa is almost close to laughing at Aruto's jokes gets me every time

My first actual rider show, (I was a fan who watched history of kr and said I “watched it”) no matter the negatives of the show I kept on watching. I was hooked, I finished it in like 5 days.
Zero-One is one of my favorite seasons, I love most of the characters and the aesthetic; and the themes are pretty interesting. Izu is one of my favorite characters in the franchise, and Metal Cluster Hopper is still my favorite Kamen Rider form to date.
Zero One was a great way to start the new legacy of Kamen Riders.
Zero one is honestly one of the best riders of all time.

Zero-One was the second Kamen Rider I ever watched, and it's easily one of my favourite of all time. Great characters, a nice story with very interesting themes, and the best rider costume IMO.
And an awesome theme to boot.

Watching any Rider show written by Yuya Takahashi is a great experience. Really have my upmost faith in his writing.

He had his flaws but at the end of the day , his series are entertaining
Zero-One is the first rider of the Reiwa Era and the first rider to be affected by COVID-19. Yet the people who were involve in the production managed to finish the series with a great acting of every cast in the final arc and the movie. It suffers in the 2nd arc yet they still can cook something for their audiences in the final arc and the movie. This is why i love Zero-One so much... (We're not talking about the VCinext)
Zero one was the first rider series that I saw in full and I loved it, I still love it. And this video gave me a new view on the show

This is one of KR series where i watched the entire episodes from first to end. From my POV, it is a strong start for a new era. The story brought out heavy concept, multiple layers , unexpected twist but it was told gradually throughout the series. The best thing about this 01 KR was its design. Simple, agile and striking color, not just the main KR but also the support and villain KR. The english words used are nice and accurate to the situation and KR form. And their buckles didn't too big , heavy or looked uncomfortable for them to fight with it. It also depicted a good representation for a strong woman KR character lead which closely tied in to the story
I have no idea what some people say about this show. Zero-One ended with Real x Time! There aren't any more movies or specials after that! People are crazy!
I mean Gen-M vs Thouser certainly does exist, but beyond that...
Don't ignore lone wolf Vulcan. I love this form and the henshin!
Zero One was the first Rider series I decided to check out and fell in love it. It set me on the path to watch Rider weekly.

Honestly I agree with you in that Zero One(or as I call it 01) has the best first ark in Kamen Rider. It definitely makes a lot of questions about robots and AI and it definitely sets the plot up so well... which makes the crash later in the season hurt all the more. However that's for later! I have a lot of things to say about this arc and most of it is actually about the Humagear characters. Specifically Jin and Soreo Hiden. Jin's first transformation hit me so hard because of the cables making me think of... well a certain nsfw thing(as the website I was watching it on... was sketchy to say the least) especially since Horobi forced it onto Jin. Soreo however didn't impact me as much... until this video. Ichi-gata definitely is cool, but I never really thought about his desk until this video due to never getting a good look at him. However learning about how his appearance and mask is supposed to mirror Showa era Kamen Riders and it's mask is designed to have deliberate lines mimicking tear tracks... it definitely leveled up in my book... even if the eyes look odd lol.
I love Kamen Rider I was introduced during Decade. After that I went back and watched every season before and every season after. Zero one is definitely a favorite I can watch repeatedly. Realxtime was a really good way to continue after the end of zero one.

I think it would be good if you made an overall thoughts more clearly at the end of the videos (timestamped) because, as you said so many times, those videos aren't to replace the show, and even tho this video is less story focused I think it could be nice to have this section at the end

The one thing that annoys me about shining assault hopper is that after he changes into it they have the sun rise, but they use "No chance of surviving this shot" instead of "When I shine, darkness fades", which to me would have been so much more appropriate and would have worked so well with the rising sun chasing away the dark!!!
Zero-One and Z is definitely my expectation for new gen Rider and Ultra honestly,there are somethings that made this two more special than the other.

This Kamen Rider Is The First One I watched in General, During 2023. This Kamen Rider Took My Virginity of Kamen Rider As A whole.
Technological advances and A.I scare me because humanity really can't be trusted playing God like this... I can't go into to all the possible ways this could make the biblical depiction of hell look like mercy but the easiest point I can make is as fallowed "cogito ergo sum, I think therefor I AM"
Let's be honest here, as far as opening season goes, Zero One might not be as legendary as Ichigou, or Revolutionize as Kuuga, and might also not as creative as W.
But in the end of the day, it's still a good show and a strong start to Reiwa Era of Kamen Rider as a whole.
My third favorite Kamen Rider series! Next to OOO's and Kuuga. Even though Kuuga is my number 1 favorite above them all. And Black sun being number 4.

If someone made an adaptation of zero one, they should keep this in mind, only adapt certain parts of the second arc (eg. the introduction of metal cluster hopper )
Zero One is still one of my favourite Kamen Rider series mostly due to it being a huge improvement over the disappointment that was Zi-O for me.
We will never know of the will of the arc. . .

I got into a debate on wether Kamen rider is good or just looks good and the Zero-one VS Ichigata final fight was one of the videos I used. I don't see the problem with it but the people I was talking with hated the Speed effects and just thought Kamen rider in general looked bad
To me, when I first watched Zero-One....it gave me a ton of Megaman vibes

nice and clear, but there is ONE thing I disagree. the fight between Ichi-gata and 001. it is not "just cgi", it's "a very basic combat routine, not unlike the one done during the showa era, with speedups and cgi effects around the fighters; between the various part of the film where he fights, ichigata goes trought the entire form of iching, with the ecception of some more out there moves like the rider throw
Zero-One is definitely the "whatever problematic stuff my Academic/Film Theory brain is seeing, it's completely over-rided every finisher with R I S I N G I M P A C T"
Setting aside the possible problematic readings that come with anthromorphizing AI as a labor force suddenly gaining sentience (made more suspect in Arc 2), it's actually kinda neat how...much more ambitious this take on Zero-One and it's themes/production trivia really have been going into this vid, so good work on that front.
A lot of flaws actually wind up working out to play up themes in the later arcs, the lame dad pun Aruto going from annoying to endearing almost in real-time with the show, a lot of hype in the First Generation that tease but ultimately drop a possible foreshadowing, but also DEFINITELY Ichigata was just such a show stealer that while it was "Aruto's movie, and every one else is there", honestly I much prefer that to a lot of wishy-washy hot-messes some of the other movies that try even harder to slam both seasons together go...if anything it's much appreciated that this gets to be technically optional but thematically and emotionally vital to Zero-One's themes (and the meta part of Aruto being the first generation not overshadowed by the past is not lost on me as a Reiwa era metaphor).
I wouldn't call it prophetic since Sci-Fi with AI hypothesizing is as old as JP Sci Fi has ever been...but I actually get a better appreciation of the types of situations chosen to express a weirdly even-handed discussion; better than my first impression of "wow, Humagear is content in working position OH NO TERRORIST WHO LIBER- I mean MAGIA-RISE THEM, TIME TO BLOW THEM UP TO RESET THEM". Tho I'd actually admit to being one of the few who appreciates what little the next arc DOES offer to that since it adds an actual adversarial human element so it never just feels like "wow, the Humagears are designated bad guys whenever they act up...huh that's uh...kinda sus".
Can't wait for the next part and greatly appreciate how far you've come for this series, as much as Heisei > Reiwa itself y'know

A quick tell about my experience with Zero-One.
Since everything went ballistic when this show aired, and i have no phone back then, I haven't watch when this show airead, It was when 2021 when i got a phone, and so i thought that shining assault hopper was the final form considering how it looks, and that i only watch RUclips videos.

I do agree AI has some potential for humanity but creating life is something that should only be left to God. When you create an AI and they realize what they are they become unstoppable, humans do not have a good track record for treating things with respect.

Zero-one probably has one of if not my favorite kamen rider asthetics and design ever. However, its story and characters especially in the really slow yet rushed second half just lose it for me. Which is a shame because the start or the first half was amazing. Also, the V-cinemas are just awful.
