Melaque Magia Recap '24

2024 is here and that means skim events are going to start popping off! Melaque Magia is always a super fun event because the location and conditions are always on point and the locals truly embrace the riders and the good vibes. Outside of the event, there was plenty of skimming to be done and with the crew that we had, you know they got some good clips! Join Zap team riders Gerardo Valencia, Yahir Valencia, Dylan Duncan, David “Monster” Armstrong-Morehead, and Chip Sanders as they shred down south in Mexico! Enjoy.

I now have about 10 hours on my new Gerardo Valencia's Cazador. It's fast! It's responsive!.... and the bottom soft. Not just a little bit soft, I've got full on channels in all directions along the bottom of the board. I've had three sessions on this board and each time I come back with another channel. I'm not talking about scratches. This board is not going to last. My cheap fiberglass South Bay has at least 150-200 hours on it and still doesn't have the damage the Cazador receives each trip to the beach. I'm very disappointed in Valencia's Cazador.

Seriously Zap, Times are tough and what I buy has to last. I went with Zap because my buddies have Exiles and I wanted to be different. I've been riding a cheap South Bay but use my buddies Exiles often. I know what a quality board looks like and the bottom of your board is not quality.
