Build A House In 28 MINUTES?? SNAP Together Homes
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 окт 2024
- Imagine being able to snap together a tiny house in 28 minutes. According to Backyard workroom, they say you can with their tiny home building kits you can do it yourself. Their home construction is similar to modular homes but they refer to it as component home construction and it's as easy to snap together like legos. They also make office sheds as well. In this video, we challenged them to see if their manufactured homes actually do snap together as easily as they say and if you really can get it done in the time it takes to boil a sack of crawfish.

this man can build a 40 unit homeless shelter in a week!!!! we need to get these up all over!!!!
My Spanish homies can do it in a few days def worth spreading the word Cali definitely needs this all over the world but California for sure
I AM A HOMELESS PERSON and DISABLED!!! America needs to re-access these problems. Waiting lists for housing any where in America is 1yr till availability - whenever that is
Where in God's name will a homeless person get a partial property to put such homes. When no homeowners want to share their communities with homeless people.
HEEELLLLOOOOO!!!REALITY CHECK PLEASE!!!
Reminds me of IPet goat
@@lexlex9942 sure they can
Yes, please provide us with your address so we can put on in your back yard.
“HOA requires a certain paint color”. Living in an area where others have control over what I can or cannot do in my own home is certainly not for me, but to each their own, I guess.
We don’t even have control of our own bodies in America forget a home! 😭😭😭
@@Missblaak not like that only applies to America..
I hate HOA. In my opinion it's a rip off and a borderline scam. My HOA just started making anybody buying a house in the community with a credit score of under 700 pay a $5,000 fee. My question is where does that money go? The only plus is they take care of our lawns and we have security with a gated entrance. Still not worth the $400 a month though IMO.
What's the point of buying anything if others can tell you what it can look like. No point.
HOA = Karens = stay tf away from
$30k for 12x15 shed, it's definitely an exorbitant price, I just finished a 12x14 including electric, heat pump mini split and managed to stay under $13k
Looks like a very nice shed.
Did you install the minisplit yourself? Even $13k sounds expensive for a 12x15. I guess material prices are skyhigh right now.
What they are doing meets code, does yours?
@@bobbiewhitten1718 There's no way to know unless he pays an expert a few hundred (or thousand) dollars.
@@randybobandy9828 13k also sounds expensive to me, Id say more like 8k for a 12x15 if its DIY
With the cost of housing going out of sight it's past time to start thinking outside of the box. This makes more sense than most options that I have seen, If you set this down on a concrete slab you'd have a really solid and permanent home.
The high prices is due to LAND so it still would cost a lot lol
If they would let you build a 400-1000 sq ft house. Most areas require you to build much larger, which is what puts up the cost.
@@ozymandias8523 No. High prices are due minimum square foot requirements. You should be able to build whatever size house you want as long as its code compliant, and the codes has defacto square footage requirements. They want increase housing costs to generate more revenue and zone poor people out. The average new home built in the 1950's was 950 sq ft. That's illegal most places.
@@kenlieberman4215 Unnecessary regulations violate natural rights. _They_ are illegal.
People should really start to disregard the government charging you for land... They don't own the land and we already pay taxes if you own a home and still have to pay annually then you don't own your home
This is exactly what I've been looking for as a single person with just two dogs and already have the property
It would be very cool to have 6-month, 9-month, 1-year updates on the home regarding durability.
You will be getting those updates from me once I get one. It will be my filming studio.

Please, how do I contact this company? What's the company name? Thank you so much.
It's super cute! They put it up really fast! Under an hour is incredible!👍
This was AWESOME to watch--hard to believe those "after" photos! Would love to see construction like this made with renewable resources like hempcrete blocks. Hey Kristina, you should do a video on a hempcrete block home!
These new building technologies are sure making things very interesting right now. If you live in the right area this could be the perfect solution. You just need some land to put it on.
Yes indeed!
I believe with working and studying remote becoming a thing, living off the grid will get more popular 😊
I am actually very happy. Cities are insanely crowded for no reason, and people are paying insane amounts of money for mortgage.
There's also stuff like the tax that comes with living in the city and owning property in the city.
It's going to be interesting seeing where this goes. I hope it goes where I hope it's going, even though some people will get angsty about that because they invested in real estate.
Great alternative for the high cost of housing and rent . We the middle class need this novel ideas to make living more affordable !!! Thank you !!!
Thank you for this video! This company seems to offer everything already included and minimal efforts for the purchaser other than having to furnish the inside! So much easier than what you’d get from Home Depot (or similar) where it’s pretty much delivery only and not even insulation comes in the structure (or set up for that matter). Thank you for finding them and having them do a demo!
Thank you for watching. I am going to get one for my new office. I was truly impressed.
@@KristinaSmallhorn looking forward to seeing you film from your new office when you get it. I hope you share a Behind-the-Scenes video so we can see how you decided to set up the inside. 😉
Thats not a bad idea!!
I agree and disagee with you on that, yes they are done but in the end they are what they are, you can't personal expand them or change walls or add walls like you can the ones from Home Depot, sure they can be expanded, but THEY have to do it, you can't do it yourself. My gf and I have considered one of the home depot ones simply because we can do with we want with it insulation and wall materials wise and we can add a wall for a seperate shower and toilet room. can't do that with these SIP houses.
Well, it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. Everyone has different needs and preferences. Personally, the simplicity and convenience far outweighs the customizable factor. I wouldn’t need to expand or build upon it. This company has options with full bathrooms. Kristina just didn’t happen to need one.
Wow that was so cool! The only thing I would change really is to add a Euro style air conditioner heater unit that goes high up on the wall rather than that big clunky unit. I just love all the high-tech Building Systems
That could be an option.
What’s not included is permitting, utility and sewer hookups and of course furnishing the new home. All those are additional costs that have to be built into the budget. Assuming its allowed in your jurisdiction, its a fast way to assemble a new home where its needed.
That is one nice yard, very well taken care of.
The SIPS system has me sold. Insulated, and assembled just gotta bolt it together. Let’s get a review when it’s all done and set up!
I have a 2bed 1 bath on a half acre that would absolutely benefit from something like this. Thank you for the quality content.
Thank you for watching. When I get mine I will be showing everyone.
That wasn’t yours? That was a demo?
@@Lilystesla2379 yeah, they only showed me the demo. I still have to pick out my colors and have the HOA approve of it. I was going to do a 10x10 but after seeing the 10x15 I have to go through the whole approval process again.

Hi Kristina,
I have a few questions I hope you can answer: 1) Is this a modular home or a manufactured home in the eyes of a lender? 2) If it’s bolted to a permanent foundation, will most lenders fund it? 3) What kind of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry does it include? That is, are they molded plastic, wood or tile? 4) What kind of windows are included? Are they vinyl or aluminum frames? 5) What kind of roof material is used? Is it wood shakes, asphalt, etc.?
Thanks in advance.
She was paid to promote this by the builder. It's a yard barn and was put on piers just like a yard barn would be (if installed properly).

So I could buy some land in the Appalachian mountains and have one these built in a day? Add solar panels for electricity, build an outhouse, dig a well, plant a garden and go off the grid? Sign me up.
You can do it!!
@Edward Knutson let us know when you do so that I have a place to visit. These are awesome structures.
Septic is the big one, you're gonna run into needing a septic permit and have septic pits dug.
Pre-pandemic it costs I'd say 4000, but a septic system can now run up 8000 post-pandemic and have huge delays.
Delivery will also be delayed, having a well dug will also be delayed.
Expect it in 5+ months done.
The main thing though is drainage. Drainage, drainage, drainage, always remember that's in the initial excavation of the land.
Remember that you can run into all sorts of problems, the cost of setting it up is the cost of the rent you pay before moving in.
Also, with gas sky high, the cost of living out in the country...well, the country let's just say is a gas-centric existence. Your whole existence will rely on gasoline.
Electric cars are too much, there are electric bicycles for $3000 that can now run 200+ miles though on a single charge, and better ones coming too.
Hi, I am in process of purchasing a 2 acre land with a manufactured home of 1800 ft.
How do I know that I can build an ADU, or small Casita in the rest of the empty property?
You must check with your local zoning/permit office and your HOA.
