  • These are genuine LG cells, they behave like this after only a few 100 cycles! They are made in the the Nanjing Lg Chem New Energy Battery Factory in china. They are worse than rewrapped chinease cells! LG have has many battery fires and recalls, most likelly due to this "Low Grade" China factory!
If the first letter after "LG" on the cell is A,C or D they are made in korea, if its E or G it's made in china. Concider this your final warning!

Have you seen M26 fail in Xiaomi or Ninebot packs? Because I don't think those are particularly known to fail.
I'm having a suspicion that there are a lot of "fake" batteries that are just factory rejects, and since factory is in China, they got recycled via reselling.
I am a little bit concerned now, since I have a choice. Build a battery pack out of 28 SINC cells, or 35 LG M26 cells that I salvaged from original Ninebot batteries where I killed the BMS. And M26 cells are old too, like from 2018 or 2017. SINC are from 2021.

They are indeed just shit. Consistently shit however. ESR (DC, none of that standard 1 kHz rubbish) is 70 mOhm and 88 mOhm (because they were salvaged from 2 different e-scooter packs).
But eh, no other choice really but to use them. After all, 35 cells is still better than 28 cells.
ESR is well out of spec.
No wonder ninebot switched to EVE.

Old Lilah LG cells with 2200 mah capacity were also overheating. Probably same chemestry
