Just for your info: - The female singer is Suzeela. She became famous for “Addu” song which she sang in 2001 in interschool singing competition, when she was studying in Aminiyya School. - And the Male vocalist is known as Mode(Don’t know full name). And as some people said in here he is dead now. (May he RIP 💔
@@IFFRRIITT I don’t really know about what show or what event it was. But this song was sang in 2003 (21 years ago) and it was broadcasted from Television Maldives (TVM), since this song was shown from TVM many several times in early 2000s this video became well known.
I miss those days when girls weren't forced to wear the hijab in Maldives. When the hijab wasn't associated with religion (it actually has nothing to do with Islam). When girls were free to wear what they want and not be judged. Look how modest and beautiful those girls are in this video. This is Maldives. Not the wahhaabi salafist country we live in today.
Girls are still not forced to wear hijab... Like bestie non of the girls I know were forced though there will be those rare cases... And hijab is very much a part of religion there's literal ayahs about it... And there are still many women who don't wear hijab cuz they don't wish to.... In that same manner if a woman wants to cover up for and I emphasize on the word want... It's her right to do so if she wants to..the real oppression is when men for generations have to have a say in what women can and can't do... If a woman wants to cover up she should be able to just how if a woman doesn't want to coverup she doesn't have to... It's their personal choice and no one else's business I believe... It doesn't make one extreme or less religious by these choices as long as they aren't harming others...

You are brave. If I say this in public I will be probably labeled as "irreligious" ofc
@@8moltovivace8 the hijabi radical feminists will go mad on twitter and cancel you. For some reason they seem to attack your job first. So childish.
@Jim Kaburey my respect for you, sir: 📈📈📈
Arabisation is killing our culture.
