I think doing holograms of dead people is right IF It actually pays respect and give tribute to the artist. If it's just for money, Then yeah it's very disrespectful for the artist that died.

Also further point, Usually when an artist is dead, Their family must be asked just to make sure you can do that

there are always two intentions, but since they are companies, profit always comes first, so I don't trust that they are doing a "tribute"

@(isa)belle27 Companies want money for no reason at this point, They don't want to improve anything, they just want to take a bath in green

With the technology it makes sense why they’ve made holograms of long dead artists, as unethical as it is. But with this same technology they can make virtual props, outfits, icons, and other pieces that heavily tie to an artist without being disrespectful. Like why not recreate the locations of some of Amy’s music videos, her dresses, or lights to visualize the music in a unique way that doesn’t feel like just puppeting a dead persons image.

You were right, I definitely didn't expect this, but it's actually quite an important topic to discuss. I am personally pretty much on the same page as you, in that bringing back dead people is probably over the line. And once again, I really enjoyed the vibe of the video. You're really good at this!

Even Walt Disney is being resurrected by Disney by hologram! It’s for some presentation at Disney World, I believe.

My favorite hologram performance story is with Chief Keef, who for his legal troubles couldn't perform in his home town of Chicago, so for a concert, the promoters got the hologram set-up, and he was to perform from his California home. The police came in and stopped the show five minutes in.

It maybe could be respectful if they get their Permission before they die, but it usually (always) comes off as HOLO…
