you need to ignore ketchup for the day, and then tomorrow it will pass on to someone else- she will still be thinking about leaving for the rest of the day, but if you don’t talk to her and don’t initiate the dialogue it will then pass on
this @ryanFTW. the bubble moves the next day. Today is Ketchup's move out day. If you were a TTer, you would jump to tomorrow and see where it went and continue from there.

@@MandyJonas97 if you say no, then a cool down of 5 days or so begins before this move out thought bubble can appear on any of your villagers. As Ryan said he wants a different villager to move out, it is best not to say anything and let the bubble move the next day. You can hope it hits the villager you want, or ignore it till it does.
Vicky97Mir Not if you want to move someone out soon. If you say no it’s at least 5 days before someone else will have a bubble.
I’ve had it take anywhere from 1-3 days for a villager to “cool down” after you notice they have the bubble and close out before the dialogue saves. It definitely never happens immediately.

I won't repeat what others said about moving the bubble. However, I will correct you on time frame. if you say no, don't go, it's only 5 days until the next time someone asks. It's only a 15 day cool down period if someone actually moves out.

I got stalled on my island design over a month ago and just haven't had the inspiration to even pick up my switch. I'm thinking I may do this; flatten it down, remove everything, and just start fresh with a very, very clean island. I've worked too hard to build up my DIY collection and bank account to completely trash the whole island and start over...even if I don't like the placement of my Resident Services building...
i was in the same position a month or two ago where i just couldn’t pick up my switch and play (also hated where my resident services is)! it sounds weird, but just push through it. if i had completely removed everything off my island i 100% would have lost all inspiration / drive and never played again. starting off with small changes is what helped me :-)
I was literally in this position for a while too. Mainly cause the insanity in me wanted to wait until having enough bells to fully upgrade ALL. 8. HOUSES. before working on my layout. ....I had 22 million bells, and then a few days later, I decided I didn't like my beach layout, and nuked the entire island, completely starting over
@@sonario6489 I've decided this is what I'm going to do. I've made a date with my boyfriend tonight to transfer some items to his island for holding, and all of my bells. I'm going to start over with all of my foreknowledge & experience so I can pick a better resident service location. Maybe even have a theme for my island in mind, too.
@@theglasswolf3206 Its probably a better idea to have a clear vision of what you want and then sell all the unneeded items. You have 1600 x8 storage slots with all 8 houses fully upgraded. And if you need something, just reorder it from the catalog. We have plenty of storage in new horizons

Abdallah, another Animal Crossing RUclipsr, was saying reports don’t necessarily mean someone reports them. If Nintendo detects something that isn’t supposed to be there via code or whatnot, eg. star fragment trees, you can get banned from dreams instantaneously. It’s a feature Nintendo added rather than people actually reporting them. But you aren’t banned forever. You will be banned with that particular dream code and you can upload again but it had to be without any changed elements.
usually if you get banned, your switch's model# is banned along with your game cards model# so you cannot log back online ever again. when you bought the system and game you basically agree to nintendo's terms and conditions you also sign and agree to those terms when buying an online subscription. once a hacked system is banned thats it, go buy a new console and game license. if you also insert a banned game cart into a non-banned switch it will ban the new switch console. dont buy used game carts online. all of this has been tested years ago all facts. be safe and dont hack.

@@blazereho811 okay so on my birthday I literally went out to buy a switch lite, in the time of COVID, just to buy animal crossing to play. So right now I'm only playing animal crossing. Summer in Mara looked promising but it's kind of a let down.

I LOVE terraforming during fireworks, the flash of light every now and then and the music is so nice... almost beats the calmness of early morning terraforming

I watched this video when first posted and attempted to flatten it... with help from friends chopping, removing trees and selling flowers. I gave up and started over. You are the man, flattening the island is NOT EASY as it seems.

Basically how the villager move out bubble transfer works is if you don’t talk to the villager who has a move out bubble than the next day a new villager will have that bubble. You won’t have 2 villagers ask to move out on the same day even if you close out. All you have to do is ignore them and wait a day. Also if you want to talk to the villager than you can hit them with a net and that will remove the bubble. The bubble will still appear on a new villager the next day.
I stumbled upon this channel last week and never actually watched the videos but only listend to them in the background while doing my homework for Uni (you have such a nice and relaxing voice) and I just noticed we have 1:1 the exact same island layout! You’re the first one I ever saw online with the exact same layout and it makes me weirdly happy and super invested haha, because after months of playing I kinda dislike my island BUT I refuse to delete it. I know that deleting my island now would ruin the whole game for me. So yeah. Idk I really need to watch the videos too for the future instead of listing to them haha
Hey Ryan, just don't talk to Ketchup today. The bubble will move to someone else tomorrow. Continue this until the bubble moves to the villager you want to move out. Also, I believe the grace period is 5 days if you engage them.
You ignore the villager wanting to move out and the bubble will then transfer to another villager the next day. Sometimes it transfers back to that same villager, but if you ignore them, you'll still have the bubble active to move to another villager. If for any reason you need to talk to her, hitting them with a net (yes, unfortunately), it'll make the bubble disappear for a short period of time and you'll be able to talk to them, without interrupting the bubble.
Just an idea for the pathing on the dirt. If you don't find a pathing design you really like, just fill a design square with the transparent "color" and set it down as you would a design. It should be clear and prevent flower growth.
So, for the bubble to move, you have to find it before the FIRST autosave aka the first 5 minutes otherwise it's stuck

i've been stuck terraforming my island. I have a design in mind but the default design of my island hinders me from doing so. the houses of my villagers and the stairs are scattered all over the island. i've been avoiding the idea of getting my island bare naked for a long time but this made me realize that i guess it's a must to make terraforming easier. thanks!

I know I’m late but I know of a way to stop a villager with a thought bubble to stop having the thought bubble without talking to them or waiting. You just have to hit them with a net one time. Idk if it’ll switch over to someone else but that’s what I did months ago and they didn’t have the thought bubble anymore
Bruh, it’s almost unfair how good the 5 am theme is. The only time I hear it in my game is when I’d stayed up the entire night.

I'm so perfectionist that I don't like how the custom path dirt doesn't match the in-game dirt. -_-
That really bothers me, too.
I believe there is a remake of that path with darker dirt; I had it on my island for a bit but then changed to the lighter one. I don't know the code for it though, maybe try to find it on r/acpatterns!

The reason the bubble didn't move from ketchup is because you were playing too early for other villagers to be outside/awake. Normal villagers like ketchup are up the earliest so the bubble can only stay with her if you keep the time. The best times to look for the bubble is between 1pm and 2pm because pretty much all personalities have the chance to be outside. It is possible to move the villager bubbles by reloading the same day, but its a bigger gamble than moving days forward. The bubble isn't guaranteed to stay day to day though. You could have a bubble for 2 weeks straight, and then have it disappear for 2 weeks. You can have it for 2 days and then it disappears for 5 days, so it's all pretty random. The bubble never appears on saturdays and event days

I do this all the time .. in order to move the bubble onto another villager you have to close without saving and go to the next day or wait till the next day. I do this all the time. Just closing it and going back on the same day doesn’t work.

When a villager has a thought bubble slap them with net and they forget what they were going to say!!
You can hit them with a net too when you see the bubble. It hilariously moves on to another villager. :)

Idk if someone has mentioned this but you can always hit your villager with the net. I have done it a couple of times on accident when I went to talk to them and it made the bubble disappear.

You just don’t talk to them for the rest of the day after closing out of the conversation. Then it resets after that day without having to wait 2 weekd

When a villager has a bubble above their head and you want to pass it on, leave the game without saving, fully close the game, travel a day forward, open the game back up and the bubble should have moved! but if you don’t want to time travel, don’t talk to them and wait for the next day. ^^

I think it’s sweet how determine you are to keep her. I’m like that with Pietro. She likely had the thought bubble when the game saved. :(
About villagers moving (besides waiting for the next day)... I've found that if you ask a villager to stay a week later a new villager will ask. If you tell a villager to move out it will be two weeks from their move date before a new villager asks. But you only have to wait a week for the next villager in the rotation to ask to leave if you ask them to stay. So if you told Ketchup to stay a week later the next villager in the algorithm would ask about moving out. In fact, at the very beginning of the game (through the first ten villagers or so) the move out cycle is driven by the order you acquired your villagers (with the exception of the starting sisterly villager who moves later--at least in my observations after two playthroughs).
You have to go forward a day after doing that for the bubble to move to someone else. If you just go back in on the same day, the thought bubble will still be there.

ketchup would still have the bubble for the rest of the day, and it'll transfer to someone else after 1-2 days. and if you're lucky, it'll go to someone else--i remember wanting to move someone out and it stayed on one villager for 3 days in a row, so it's all completely random.
another way to stop a villager from moving out and ensuring the bubble is gonna transfer to someone else is by moving their house (you can give tom nook the house kit back afterwards) so they won't want to move out anymore.
also if you tell them to stay, the cooldown period is 5 days. it's 15 days only when someone new moves in.
I think that since none of your other islanders were awake, nobody else can think
If you don't want Ketchup to move, don't talk to them. Ignore them. Many times the bubble will move to another villager later in the day.

This algorithm is so confusing, last time one of my faves wanted to move out i said no, the next day another villager asked right away. I said no and then the NEXT day, finally someone asked who i wanted to get rid off. No time-travelling, nothing! They just asked everyday after i said no lol

Ryan, you can also get a villager to move out by closing the game mid conversation, then time travelling one day ahead. This transfers the bubble to another villager! I know this is useless information for you since you don’t time travel, but I just thought I should let you know.

I always time skip just to move villagers out quickly, if it's on the wrong person I keep skipping ahead till it moves.. Then I skip ahead until they're gone and the empty house gets sold, then I go back to the original date and time and the new villager will move onto the island either that day or the next day I can't remember.

Ketchup might of been the only one up so she was the only one thinking on moving out and since the other animal crossing villiagers weren't awake theye didn't have the idea or thought bubble to move out

it is not always people doing the reporting, but Nintendo is using telemetry to detect hacked items automatically. I'd also assume they somehow screen the greeting in the passport. So the bans are mostly due to Nintendo's own check, not people reporting the islands. I personally would also find reporting for plugs etc to be just petty, if it were done by users.
So weird question. I love those L shaped flower garden things you have above and below your resident service area. Would you mind telling me the dimensions of them? I think a layout like that would look really good on my island, I just can't figure out the dimensions because it's hard to tell from the video
You have to wait a day for the thought bubble to potentially move, you can't just repeatedly save and close to make it happen.
