The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game's progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, 5 new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than 30 new songs, over 50 recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.

fun fact! the process the photon ripper uses to mine trees with the projectiles is called "AbsolutelyF*ckingAnnihilateTrees" in the code and the body of the chainsaw itself when in use is called "Extraordinarily Cost-Inefficient Chainsaw"
I literally didn't know the nullification pistol existed before watching this.
i always thought the nuillfication pistol was funny af i used to troll my friends by shooting random mini bosses with it and my friends reaction was that of pure confusion it was great
1:28 I'm pretty sure Staff of Blushie is a reference to Elemental Unleash, an old Terraria mod created by Blueshiemagic (one of the creators of TmodLoader), which has 2 of the hardest Terraria modded bosses ever created called "Spirit of Purity" (the rematch fight) and "Blueshiemagic" (yes, the creator is the final boss lmao).
But yeah that's why the weapon has those weird older looking sprites since it's a reference to that mod. On a side note I played Elemental Unleash and I personally wasn't a huge fan of it because of how unfair and unbalanced some of the fights feel, but Spirit and Blueshiemagic are worth checking out, I didn't beat them legit but I just watched No-Hits on YT.
3:53 the thing is, when I was playing calamity infernum mode, the flak kannon (the upgrade) was very powerful as it grows stronger the more you hit enemies, it became very good and "perfectly balanced" the only problem was I had a harder time dodging, but the projectile from the flak kannon kept getting bigger and stronger so it was worth it!!

What if there was a chainsaw sub-class where the chainsaw naturally ignores a specific amount of armor? Base chainsaw ignores, say, 3 armor, but the later ones ignore 20-30 and have stacking debuffs like damage over time or other such things. Would be a pretty neat sub-class imo.

So fun fact: Nullification Pistol works (or at least, used to work on) Polterghast's clone. It is very funny to see it's eye be a 1/8th of your screen while trying to fight Polter with it

While they're hard to see, the visual effects of the explosions seem to feature:
3 butterflies
3 balloons
3 diamonds
and
A large purple star sureounded by smaller white stars
I'd guess it also has the other two, but it's hard to tell
3:48 Flak is the short term for Flugabwehrkanone its basically german for ainto aircradft cannon wo it makes sense that u can only shoot it upwards but at the same time it doesnt given that Rommel used Flak to take out allied tanks in northern africa
Fun Fact: You can get a dps almost that of a maxed out staff of blushie duration (staff of blushie auto cancels after you hold it for a certain period of time) if you use the chainsaw and press and hold on the tip of the chainsaw sprite and then go true melee.
I believe the rainbow cannon is a My Little Pony reference, and all the symbols the explosions produce are linked to the main characters somehow? I remember a brony friend flipping out when he got the weapon, and he insisted on only using it for boss rush.
I actually like the exhumed weapons they gives more stakes to using a weapon and you have to pay attention or else your come one pixel near you’re minions and dying immediately
Infinity - "Bad PC"
Infinity's the upgrade to Shredder. Anytime you use it, it fires for 10 seconds and has two modes, regular bullets or bouncing lasers. Not a viable option in combat, but it's funny to use a few times.
I don't understand why you think clockwork bow is weird, it's a charge mechanic, also is absolutely a "perfectly balanced" weapon, for only being made with cogs and luminite, it can take you up to polterghast and old duke. (seriously give it a shot)
Shredder might be a gimmick weapon, but its atleast a realy cool borderlands reference

always thought the nullification pistol was just the average gun that shoots bullets, it had a way bigger ability behind it
A weapon called the "keelhaul", while not being the weirdest thing ever by a longshot, oddly enough seems to appear very frequently whenever I play mage. I always find myself having one or two lying around, and I just think it's pretty weird that such a specific weapon always appears in my playthroughs..
please, make class setups for mod of redemption, it used to be my favorite mode, but now, when it came back, i dont know how to progress

the art attack is a pretty interesting weapon that can be crafted at the beginning of hardmode(i think). its pretty cool but overall kinda worse than the rainbow rod it costs to craft lol
I'm surprised you didn't show off Infinity, the rare shredder varient. Once you use it, the gun shoots for 60 seconds.
i remember look for weapons in cheatsheet then i found it and thought it might be funny to use it and i was so confused why i could not stop firing so i restarted my computer lol
Fun fact: the jailor can phase skip scal with adrenaline. I found this out while no-hitting her on death mode
I feel like the Dance of Light could be a Fate/Stay Night reference. At least how it seemingly shoots a hailstorm of conjured blades. Huge Gate of Babylon/Unlimited Blade Works moment.
The relic of deliverance is kind of strange to me, it's like a lance but you charge it up to fly with it.

The Glorious End is kinda weird, as it's more of a movement item than a mage weapon. Holding left click basically just makes you able to fly around for about 6 seconds before it explodes.
I just got that pistol too lol you can upgrade it as well it does decent damage

Staff of Blushie is one of the strangest weapons to me. Why is there a very specific pattern of gears and chains and fire particles, and why are the fire particles static moving pngs that blip out of existence? What an odd attack.
Even with the reference in mind it's so out of place and weird
and why do the fire particles look like they were made in paint but everything else looks normal
@@average_furry.. exactly it's so strange. It fit more back when calamity was a newer mod and particles were a lot less detailed but now it just looks strange

you didn't cover the upgrades to the shredder and nullification pistol that basically do the same thing as their previous versions but better. also, wouldn't the weapons crafted from sea remains and the reworked exoblade and ark of the cosmos fit here too since you showed the reworked wulfrum set?

The flak weapons are a reference to the flak series of anti air armaments built by germany during WW2. As the name implies these were one of the most powerfull Anti air ever built.
If it would work on bosses we would get the thickest destroyer

Can someone PLEASE tell me which calamity concept is cancelled, I'm Soo confused, are the DOG and yharon still getting re-sprited, are the providence biome and dragon's aerie biomes still being made, is the plaguebringer Goliath getting re-sprited??????!
all i know is that yharon and signus are still probably gonna get resprited because their relics didnt get changed to say a glimpse into what could have been
