I'm with you on New Orleans. I do think it was by mistake. David Griffin gambled that he could get a center back in an Ingram trade. If he hadn't believed that, surely New Orleans would have found a way to keep one of Valanciunas or Nance. I guess maybe it was impossible to make the money work without including Nance in the Murray trade? That is an issue with NO right now. They only have tiny contracts or huge contracts. Their only mid-sized contract they haven't sent out is Herb Jones, who you're clearly not trading.
As for Kessler+Collins for Ingram, hell yeah. But why would Utah do that? Just to have an expiring contract? Surely someone would give them something for Kessler in a trade, right? So are you now talking about New Orleans attaching a pick? I would still do it because I think you have to do something. But I don't think Griffin would go for it. He likes to win trades. The only other logical trade partner I can think of is Brooklyn. The same issues apply except the Nets would want even more for some sort of Claxton+DFS package.
@@rome8180 i honestly think Kessler might be a closet satanist or something b/c I have no idea why Utah is so open to moving him. in all seriousness, i think it's probably a three-team setup where there's a team willing to give up a first for Ingram and that's how you do it.
this steps on the toes of your response below but i *do* think New Orleans might actually have like a clax or Allen trade in the offing and are just waiting for the trade deadline. a risky game, to be sure, but i just can't bring myself to believe they want herb jones/javonte green (and theis) defending a bunch of bigs all season haha

@@andrewabraham5109 hmmm I don’t think so, because they have OG to play that low man role in small lineups. if they don’t want to play small, I would say a big with more ball skills than Mitch would work-doesn’t have to shoot, like a healthy RW3 or a Larry Nance Jr

Random question, do the knicks need a stretch big that protects the rim for them to fully be a complete title contender?
